See attached smog test results for C55 with Eurocharge Tune and no secondary cats. Passes CA smog test....but on the 15mph HC it was max!

What does HC stand for anyways?

Nice to see that everything passed ok. I think I should be doing the same here. Also they don't sniff cars here so I'm lucky that way.

HC= Hydrocarbons = unburnt fuel. This probably needs to be adjusted in the tune.

I am sure some higher octane fuel with more alcohol content would help.

I am a year off from my first smog with the car, but want to be sure to take the best shot at a pass. You went in warmed up I assume, anything else you can do to prep? Would octane booster really help bring those HCs down?

Car drove about 3 miles only before test...lol. I recommend running a high octane unleaded fuel...it contains more alcohol which will result in a leaner condition. You will be just fine.

Ghiaguy, do you have an X-Pipe on your car? The only thing they ask is about the visual. They only see two cats when they say their is supposed to be three. I am sure you can talk your way out of that or find a shop that look spast a lot of visuals.

no x-pipe, just straight tubing where the resonator and each secondary was. The last shop I used passed my cammed Miata, Ill take my C55 there...

Good to know! My 32 passed smog without the secondaries or resonator as well! Now with no cats, I doubt it haha dreading December time. Time to register in AZ

mine passed too no resonator or rear cats, I didn't warm up or use different fuel either.
