Need some help from fellow w203 brothers for headlights c55
Not sure how many people on here know that I purchased advans c55 a while back ago, I have my c55 Amg at the body shop right now getting a new bumper and paint auto correction done, while in the process of doing this I decided I wanted to get new headlights installed, the reason beign is when I purchased the car from Gary the headlights where damaged the halos where burnt and also the passaenger side headlight housing was cracked leaving water and humidity exposure. Since I have some extra money to spend I want to see if I could either upgrade the mod Gary has done to the headlights to something better or do the same mod? Well the help I need is if anyone has done any procedure towards the headlights as far as bi-xenons with wired halos where should I start where can I purchase these headlights I know Gary purchased some headlights from a clk 08/07 (I do not know what model) https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...eadlights.html I am having problems with my passenger side headlight shutting off and on randomly I believe this is due to the cracked housing and water getting inside.
Do these headlights already come with halos? Is there Any other modification needed besides sanding down and painting the reflectors? I want to keep everything oem but upgraded. Please help me out I would greatly appreciate it. If anyone knows where I could send out the headlights for repair would be appreciated.

hey mike, the headlights are dead custom. the conversion was D1S to D2S, the halo was a custom size. the reflectors were painted 040. These are the facelift CLK W209 headlights.
This was done for astropat (pat) in white as well.

looks pretty cool...just wish this could be wired to actually be the DRL instead of a manual switch or just coming on when the headlights come on, etc

Thanks for the pics Gary I appreciate you coming to my thread. Well what I'm trying to figure out is what were the watts on the ballast What kit was used for the retro fit I was thinking of going on this site http://www.theretrofitsource.com/index.php and purchasing the d2s kit here http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=242 but not sure what would be needed from the drop down menus. The car is not in my possession at this time it's at my friends body shop he will order anything I need to get the job done correctly just need to know what to order so I could let them know. I understand you used 8000k on both the headlights and fogs, on the site I provided the highest is 6000k. About the halo I might have to eat that until I get the car back and take it to my other boys shop and see what he can do. I tried calling motorcepts to ask the dude there questions about what he has done with the headlights but he doesn't remember so he asked me to ask you. Then he tells me to just buy the stock headlights and forget about fixing the clk's? I wonder if astropat halos still working lol. https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...ld-thread.html

i had the the side markers deleted and the halos wired to that switch that way i could roll w just the halos on. the white joints look crazy!! i like.. i know it isnt a an c55 but just an idea.. sometimes i miss my w203

Just a quick update on the headlights. I ended out purchasing a almost new set off eBay took my head lights to lightwerkz out in Oakland NJ, awsome proffesional shop all they do is retrofitting headlights. They took the headlights and converted them into something amazing. Not to downgrade the work that advans got done when he had the c55 but the installation & retrofit itself was horrible wiring was done poorly. The price is steep at lightwerkz, hey we drive expensive vehicles what would you expect? The work is phenomenal. Anyways look them up give them a call, tell them Miguel sent you. Oh pics will be up soon.
