C55 AMG - Twin turbo project !!
I've project in ma mind, but i'm still thinking about it.
What do you think about a T70 twin turbo kit on a C55 AMG!
My c55 is done @13.6 sec in 1/4 Mile
Got around 360 HP@Crank and 400+ torque.
With just tune & Down pipes
So everyone give me his opinion about this project before i begin with it
I think with twin turbo kit it will reach almost +600 hp with a tune and some more mods,

Waiting . . .
Regards,

13.6 is a low 1/4 mile time for a C55. What was the MPH? Fuel level? Spare tire in or out? Backseat full of groceries? lol
I spent a lot of time on this subject last year and over the winter and personally decided it wasn't worth it. In the end I decided it would be better to just enjoy the car with off-the-shelf parts that are available and make 400hp than spend a year being a pioneer and never getting to drive the car. You can get easily get into the mid-low 12s if you max it out with normally available parts. Even lower if you start upgrading the trans and rear end gears.
I think the most important question is what do you want from the car?
Daily driver?
Dedicated drag car?
Garage princess with a ridiculous set up and a sick dyno sheet?
Long term project/show car that will see minimal use?
If you decide to do the project hang out in the W211 / E55 section for the best info. Those are the drag racing power makers in the forum and a couple have a TT set up but TT on MB is rare. Very rare. You may even check out Chysler Crossfire forums as those guys do some unique stuff. I was looking at TT at end of headers or TT in the rear in place of the mufflers. Hard to find but there are youtube videos and threads on TT on older but still M113 Mercedes. Early 2000s SL and CLK comes to mind. Most were unsuccessful but they didn't appear well planned or well put together. Those were also from years ago and much more trial and error has been learned with the E55s in addition to more piggy back ECUs such as one AEM offers. Again, the W211 section is the place to be. The 55K is the same engine just lower compression. Things like fuel pumps and regulator need to be upgraded anyways.
Like I noted earlier I wanted all of that power once, too, and then after I learned which settings to use and when (TC on/off, S/M modes) to get the most performance out of it I realized the C55 doesn't need much. It's one of the most fun, good looking and under the radar cars you can buy.
