C55 aluminium trim

Hi All

I would like to replace my aluminium trim in my c55 AMG with new ones, however, after placing the order at the dealer the panel arrived as brushed aluminium.

My interior trim is aluminium with horizontal "lines" and it is not brushed. See picture

Can you help me with the part number or what do I need to do to get the right part.

PS I think my part number is 2036802282 and the brushed aluminium trim at the dealer also states 2036802283

What does the underside of your current part say for a part number?

Mine has lines but I like the brushed... Why not just go with that?

Yes, that is an option however, the dealer indicated that if i order all the parts, shipping and import tax have to be added as they don't have stock of all the parts.

How much do the whole set go for? Mine needs a change too and I was thinking of just wrapping it. I don't know how it'll take to the surface that has the raised lines though.

Contact Steve.

Where are you located (did you swap out) that your C55 does not have the large pop up cup holder? You have what looks to be the slider and well...

I wrapped the same trim on my C230 with CF and it worked great. The lines are not an issue.

I actually just got some wrap off Amazon, it's cheap; just need to find the time to do it now.

Also, the thing to note with wrapping, you will have to take a dremel or nail file to the triangle in the top piece cut-outs for the hazard light triangle and the two rectangles for the buttons. The extra 1mm or so of wrap around those edges will make the buttons not fit back in.

The middle pieces is approximately $200 but the door strips are expensive over here in Africa. (PS door strips needs to be shipped from Germany)

I followed your advice and sent a mail to Wanda

I assume the cars over here are more European spec - it was sold new without the large pop-up cup holder. The slider hides a cup-holder / spare little compartment.
