Help - car without key and brakes on
Hope that someone maybe are able to give me some advise here, I have a 2002 C32. Someone have stolen the key under transport with boat from Japan to me. I dont have insurance for this, so I will have to sort it out somehow myself....
Some stupid people have tried to "fix" so they could steer the car after loosing the key, this with the result that they damaged the center-console, dashbord etc. etc. VERY expensive repair I guess :-(
This is the fact, I will use the car as spareparts, or sell it like it is now.
Someone that can tell me how to release the brakes, and gearknob without the key to the car ?
Looking forward to all answers that might help, I have tried to google a bit but can not fint anything.
Best regards
TM

are you talking about the parking bake? If the lever does not release it the cable is probably jammed or broken. Also there should be a small cover near the sifter that can be pulled up. Under that there is a release for the shifter. You could always put the car on some roller jacks and move it that way.

Thanks for helping, I will pick up the car within some days at the port, so far I only got the info they gave me and some pictures. The shippingcompany told me that it was not possible to move the car since the brakes and gear was locked,,, I guess as long as there are noe electrical parkingbrake it should be no problem, and the gear I will fix after your advise :-)
Thanks again.

Also agree that the vehicle is likely stolen. That is irreparable damage to the vinyl on the dash.
Not only is the key presumably missing, but the EIS is also gone... interesting.
Why would someone go through the trouble of destroying the dash faceplate, and then leaving the command unit in the car?
somethings fishy thats for sure
looks like you got yourself a parts car

WTF is all I can say...you had the car shipped to you from somewhere and it was destroyed along the way? I would think there is some sort of insurance against this...looks like a total disaster.
