Question Slight miss at idle issue.

I have read many posts but can't zero in on the root cause. I assumed changing the plugs and wires would have taken care of it, but the miss is still there. No codes are displayed, and even tried fresh gas/gas treatment. I checked vacuum
lines, inspected just about everything. Car runs well and only I notice the miss.
RPMs don't really bounce around and I can't even see the rpms fluctuate when the miss takes place. It's one of those things that's bugging me. Car has 108k on it.
I had the valve cover gaskets replaced at the dealer months ago, so ruled a leak out. I figure if an ignition coil was going, a code would come up. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure it's normal. I did the same thing when I first got the car. I changed everything trying to figure it out, but it's still the same and I've driven other E55s that did the same thing.

Edit: sorry just realized this is the w203 forum. Is this on your C32? and is it a single miss every once in a while or does the car kinda sway a little at idle?

Yes, it's the C32. It just started to have the miss for the last few weeks and always noticed while sitting at idle. Car runs great other than that.

Today I noticed when cold, idle is fine. When car is warm, low idle has a slight miss. No codes.....

I think we have a slight leak in a vacuum line. I plan to look at this again today.

The last time I had my car at the dealer, they forgot to connect something where the arrow in the picture is pointing. The picture is not mine, just one I found online. I am almost having the same miss that was at the time cause by what the arrow is pointing to. My question is how to I get to that area without a huge amount of effort? It looks like a vacuum line is in there. If I have to pull it apart, I
will. Just checking before I begin.

Are all ignition coils the same - in terms of placement?

I see dots on each and they are different. I understand the firing order, just not sure if all ignitiion coils are the same. I need to swap a new one to find the bad one.....at least that's my approach....Plugs and wires are done and this looks to be the next logical step. Thanks.

SOLVED the miss at idle issue. I hate to say it, but I missed something stupid. One of the plug wires was not properly seated on the plug....DOH. Anyhow, I did not realize this until after I picked up a spare ignition coil and working my way around the plugs swapping out each ignition coil. So, looks like I will keep the extra part in the trunk.....you never know when it's needed.
