Could be fuel pump c32 2001

Hi once again and thanks to all for replies to my problem with the new mods,in regards to it running lean l have a suspicion that fuel pump could be the trouble, should I replace with original, as some people say that they are very good, also do I need to replace both or just the one,or should I get aftermarket, with aftermarket I want to get ones that's plug and play diy, as my funds are running out after paying for mods.Any advice would be greatly appreciated with best regards tom.

For the power that you are looking to make, you should look into the Walbro 255 or even Walbro 450. But before you do that have your mechanic check the fuel pressure in the rail. It should be 58-60 PSI at idle. Leave what you call the second pump, which is actually a sending unit, alone for now. Change one thing at a time and see the impact. It is also possible you would need larger injectors . Look into the 550cc injectors for later. Also, did you tell Eurocharged that you have sports cams? Was your tune adjusted for that?

Why spam new topic

If you put walbro 400/450 you need new wiring, stock wires are too weak.

If you change bigger injectors, you need to mod ecu program.

1. Install fuel pressure gauge to see fuel pressure
2. If fuel pressure is not correct
3a. Replace fuel pump (OEM) or with Walbro 255
3b. Replace fuel filter (OEM or some equivalent after market product)

Fuel pressure gauge will help a lot while adding mods. If you are actually going to make 500/500+ HP then you need to big up fuel lines as others have already advised.

You are always told to install a wideband AFR gauge when modding a car. Equally important is fuel pressure gauge. It will instantly tell you if there is a problem with fuel lines, pump or filter/regulator.

Thanks pansu, im thinking aeromotive 340 it seems to be a better pump with less headache to install, others told me original new oem is just as good, engine has done 210k maybe they need replacing?

Make sure Jerry knows about all your mods. He has a tune for every combination. Also ask him about remote tuning options. Much quicker and may be less expensive in the long run. Can't agree enough with vaiste001 on the need to monitor and datalog if you are making these kind of modifications. It's just a must. And you learn a ton. Check some old posts and look into the fueling changes that Pansu, I and some others have done. And again, check out the quaife lsd. Will not give you HP but will make your car faster. There is a group buy going on started by Latemodel21.

Or check AEM 320lph, this is not so power hungry like Aeromotive. Walbro 255lph works with stock wires.

I talked to Jerry/Eurocharged and said that for my mods, the OEM fuel pump was OK.
However, on the dyno, I ran slightly lean at the top of 4th gear and he said that larger injectors would help that.

he recommended me to this place:

Mate, you can remote ECU tune also. Just not for the TCU. I have the cable and you just hook up a time with Jerry via teamviewer etc. The cable is at my indie's.(Vigen -AUTOBACH in Mel) ...I visited him today. Seems like you may go there too now. Lenin's advise about the quaife is absolute. It should have been the first thing I did to the car. Needswings has some niffty gear and Vigen has some very interesting ideas also. There are about 6x 32's that go to him that i know of.
The power will come with Jerry tune. He is a gentleman and wants what you want. "speed"
