Potential C55 Buyer
Looking into purchasing a 2005 C55.
Ones up for sale in my area with ~75k miles and he/she is asking $13.5k.
I've loved the C55 for years due to how underrated it is, reliable, and so on.
I'm planning to go check out the car next week or the week after. Anything specific to the C55 I should look for?
The individual states that they have maintained the car in line with what the scheduled maintenance is suggested and have documented everything.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

Check valve cover for leaks and get a PPI at a reputable MB shop that has STAR to pull current/historic codes.
They all seem to tick on start or even as they run. Not usually an issue as far as dependability though. Check motor mounts though, common issue as are seat heaters.

Went and saw the car today.
Checked for everything you guys mentioned and didn't seem to find any problems. Said his wife had the service records and she was away, waiting on those. Getting the VIN for the car fax and pull service records from the dealer.
Only thing that came up was that the car swayed to the right when letting go of the steering, guessing this is due to the alignment. Seller said he'd take care of it on Monday.
It being a 10 year old car I still want to get a PPI done. I stopped by the MB dealership on my way home and spoke to someone there. They quoted me two price levels: ~$150 and $350.
He said the $150 was just a "safety inspection" nothing else and the $350 was a 3 hour "true PPI".
That seems a bit high to me, any thoughts?

Thoughts on going to a local indie shop that services "foreigns"? Guessing they'd be a bit more attentive and honest?
Also, thoughts: http://pdxinspections.com/ ?
