What's My Car Worth?
I've been mulling over the idea of selling my 2004 C32 and purchasing a CLS. I'd like to get some unbiased feedback on the current value of my grocery getter.
2004 C32 AMG in Pewter Metallic Silver with 102k and some change, fully optioned minus rain sensing wipers.
Here's what I've done, I'll go from bumper to bumper and try and remember everything.
Eurocharged Heat Exchanger
Needwings IC Isolation Kit
Eurocharged 64mm Supercharger Pulley
SL55 Intake with custom intake tubes and K&N filters
Eurocharged log style headers
Full custom dual exhaust with secondary cats removed
Bilstein PSS9 coilovers
18" Replica C63 wheels from Power Wheels Pro
Quaife LSD
2 fin carbon fiber rear diffuser
Custom Dyno tune from Eurocharged
TCU tune from Eurocharged with quicker shifts, 6250 RPM red line and manual mode
Pioneer AVIC-D3 head unit with iPod connection kit, GPS navigation and bluetooth phone and media connection kit
Alpine Type-X component speaker system up front
Crossfire coaxial speakers in the rear
I THINK that's it but I am sure I've left one or two things out. Anyway, here's the not so super awesome list of things that come with the car.
The front bumper is in need of a respray and the side marker on the drivers side is cracked.
It's got small chips here and there that you could expect from an 11 year old car. Nothing you would notice unless up close and inspecting the car. Absolutely no rust anywhere.
Lately the ESP has been wigging out and randomly becoming unavailable. Then again, who really drives these cars with the traction control on??? But seriously, it's pretty sketchy sometimes and I am going to have it inspected and fixed very soon.
The interior is a 9/10, no joke. The only issues are that the chrome has come off one of the A/C vents handles, the cup holder sliding cover broke and was removed, and there is a small indent in the rear drivers side door panel. Everything else is pretty much flawless.
I know this is a long post so I'm gonna stop here, if I left out anything relevant just say so and I'll amend it in.

It really depends on the local market and what the maintenance history and if you've kept a detailed folder for it are like. If you were to sell it in Washington the value would be $12k-14k roughly, probably more with a detailed maintenance history and if it was dealer serviced.

none... for now
You've got a lot of quality mods(usually I don't count mods as most, but you have a sizeable list), but also some bad quirks. If you wanted to sell it this week, $9000. If you're willing to wait, $12k tops I'd say.

I hope the ESP issues are not related to the amount of rain and flooding you've seen in Houston in the past 12 months. You should emphasize the fact that this is an improved 2004 model vs. 2002. If buying again, I would stay away from 2002s. Otherwise I agree that the range is $9K-$12K.

Take it from a guy who bought a CLS55 and is also selling his super sweet C32......it's not worth as much as you think. I have had mine on the market for about 2 months and am getting lowball offers (good luck finding another in this condition with mods/maintenance and mileage at 69K)......or those who think it's a C320 and when they find out it's an AMG they're scared of it. Just to give you a point of reference, here's mine. Good luck man.......I will say the CLS 55 I have is a complete animal, but I do miss the size and handling of the C32 compared to the boat CLS. https://mbworld.org/forums/mercedes-...condition.html

I guess that is why I'm not even trying to sell my 12.4 sec 1/4 mile C32. On the surface it looks like a very fast but old car with a loud exhuast. My only issue space. 5 cars between 4 dirvers in the household.

Yup, it's crazy bang for the buck and you'd be silly to sell if didn't have to. The wife is not happy with me, 4 cars and 2 drivers right now......3 of them being mine The C32 has to go but I'd love to keep it.
