Blue tint
Hello,
I am in the market for a C55 and the one I checked out today has the blue looking windows, but I was surprised to see that it was actually due to tint, and not built into the glass.
Can anyone confirm that this is the same for all C55's? I thought it was weird since from what I've heard MB has the blue shade built into the glass. Thanks!

C55 AMG
Blue glass is the option that includes automatic sensing windshield wipers. I'm not positive but I believe it did not come standard. If it's got blue glass you'll see the sensor while looking at the car from the front, it's right where the rearview mirror is

The blue tint factory option is pretty much not noticeable, so my guess is old, uncared for window tint.

This was definitely not a cheap tint that turned purple or blue.

Mine's also an '06 with the blue tint option and it's not noticeable. U.S. laws and regs don't allow it and since he said it wasn't built into the glass but was a film in the initial post, how is it not be cheap or ruined tint?

There are some tint films out there that look like OEM MB glass. I never said its a low quality tint that turned purple. Cool story btw
