Selling the C55 as well...
Hello folks!
2-1/2 years ago I decided to list my C55 on here for sale, but later changed my mind since it was such a great and reliable car. Well, I'm now moving to a cold weather state and definitely need to buy an AWD car. If not, it'll be too much of this
I won't be ready to sell this car until August, but I figured I'd post up on here in case there was anyone who was currently saving up their lunch money to pick one of these up later this year.
This car has all the options, including the navigation system, bi-xenon projector headlights, and the black birdseye maple interior. Interior is in excellent shape, and I will probably go ahead and do a three-step machine paint polish (takes me about 12 hours on a Saturday). When you pick up the car it'll be gleaming...
Known items that do not work: driver side bottom seat heater (no surprise there if you know this car), rear sunshade (the torx-style gear is stripped inside the housing; I took it apart to investigate), and the rear main seal is leaking. Rather than spending $800 for someone to repair the seal, I was going to invest that into a MaxJax 2 post lift and do the repair myself, but now that I'm moving it's just not going to work out for me.
I will be listing this for $9,000 given the excellent condition, and we can go from there. This is a two owner car, first owner had it from 2005-2009 and put on the first 46,000 miles, and I've owned it since then and it's now got 186,000 miles . I had a goal of hitting 200k in this beast, but unfortunately the winter will stop me from getting there.
This car has been fantastic! I hate to let it go, but we all must move on. To the next owner!

Almost 300 thousand kilometres. Dude that's legendary. Okay anyway, good luck with the sale and thumbs up to you for getting the car to still go. Shows the reliability of these M113 engines if maintained right.

Well, now I'm thinking not. Just bring it to Michigan with me and get some snow tires. While not optimal, it might still work. The car is getting older anyway, so I'm not too worried about the salt damaging the car.

I thought about buying a winter car, but my car's my coccoon against the world when it gets rough.

I daily mine and went through a rough Ohio winter 2 years ago with zero issues. Had a newer set of Blizzaks on it with some cheapo tirerack alloys and just went. Had no qualms sending the wife out in it either. Almost never needed to start out in "C" either. Obviously, with 300lb/ft available at ~2k rpm, wheelspin was never far away, but our engine's power is pretty linear, so I never had an issue and live outside the city where plowing happens long after I leave for work.
