E55 swap
Who here has done one? I've talked to Eurocharged and was told I'd need a Star in developers mode to code the M.E. after they unlocked it. I can handle the mechanical and electrical portion of the swap. I need to know what exactly is needed to code the M.E. so I won't have any issues with the other systems in the car.
Thanks in advance

2006 C55 RENNtech
I'm meeting up with one member who has done the swap, there was another one done Can't remember where but it was C55T
I myself has done the RENNtech build.
If I didn't purchase all the RENNtech parts, I would have done this.
But for the prices of E55 today,
One has to ask if this swap is worth doing?

I ended up getting a 60k mile S55 engine, harness, and ECU. Needed to swap oil pan and pump from the original engine. Also needed to swap a the wires to fit my front SAM, add the second wire for the alternator (the S55 used a 1 pin regulator and the C55 used a two pin. I used the stock alternator.), the S55 rear oxygen sensors are part of the body harness. Needed to remove the rear oxygen sensors from the C55 harness and retrofit it to the S55 harness. The biggest concern is the fuel system. The factory pump and regulator in the tank is good for 3.8bar with no easy way of upping the pressure to the 5.2bar the M113k needs, we are still sorting that out. Looks like a larger fuel pump and internally regulated fuel filter. The guys doing the swap came up with custom machined AN fittings for the oil cooler lines and a cooler installed in the passenger side of the bumper. Hoping to have everything done and running by the end of this week.

What did you do about coding the ecu to your vin so keys work, etc.? I'm guessing a knowledgeable star programmer. As for a fuel pump, that's pretty common for engine swaps. Get a manual fuel pressure regulator with fittings to the fuel rail and you should be good.

Congrats on getting pass the half way mark. Atleast you almost there now. Please share more information with us as many are taking this avenue now.

I had Eurocharged do the VIN swap for me. I just need to modify the SCN string for a C class. We thought about a manual FPR at the rail but the regulator on the filter assy in the tank would still regulate the pressure to 3.8 bar. I was also worried the factory filter assy would not flow enough fuel for the future mods.

Got the heat exchanger installed and pump mounted with a separate reservoir tank. Also had the custom AN oil cooler fittings for the engine and oil cooler installed. Got the fuel system finished also. Had to swap to an external fuel filter sender unit for the drivers side of the tank. Installed the walbro pump and used an Audi S6 fuel filter with an internal regulator to get the 80 psi of pressure the M113k uses. Still waiting on the Star in developer mode to get this thing running.

To answer yes the swap is worth it and strongly thinking about it!
Why ? The c55 is much smaller and nimbler than the e55 and also lighter no reason why not to do it

follow my thead in the w215 section, i've been running my n/a 55 m113 swap for years, and i'm just finishing the turbo build. apparently this will be considerably faster than stock m113k cars, as long as everything goes smoothly with the install
