SL55 Y Swap Question
I was reading that the SL55 Y Pipe was a direct fit for the C32, I purchased one however the Y Pipe is pretty loose vs the stock C32 Y......how is everyone ensuring a good seal?

I probably should have been clear, this is the Y to the Throttle body fit, the Y is hard plastic that I have and a clamp would not tighten it

LGAFF,
I recently purchased the SL-55 y-pipe from a local Benz dealer and it fit my throttle body snugly without issues. Make sure you have the rubber gasket that sits on the inside lip of the throttle body end of the y-pipe, if not that's why it's loose.

mine fit fine. My biggest problem is that it rubs agains the clips in the back firewall and it started cutting through it. I placed a piece of sheetmetal there to protect it.

Man. You are not kidding with that. I did this today and it was such a tight install that I had to remove the driver side hose just to get the splitter in place and then reattach it. You don't happen to have a pic of your sheet metal fix behind the hose do you? I was going to try to wrap something thicker around that spot but there is no way anything will fit behind it thicker than sheet metal.

I literally just cut a square piece of sheet metal and slid it between the clip and the splitter, it does NOT budge cause its so tight.
