C55 AMG arrived at Bahrain
...

very nice.
how did the interior feel, as in solidness and material wise?
The seat are completely different ( they hug you alot more) and the shamois leather trimmings was a nice touch!
The steering wheel grip is fabulous, and the speed shift is astounding! the interior has been facelifted and i couldnt help not admiring the new cluster!!!
A friend of mine took it for a drive to get it fueled up after landing, and this was his remark as posted on GULFGT.COM forum!

1st off i was at work at about 7 in the morning thinking to my self that today would be a normal day like any day... i got a call from the Duty officer saying that we have a shipment for Benz a C class and a G class... to be used for the F1 track... i told them get the paper work done and get the car's ready at the coverd warehouse... i stept out side for a smoke and saw the car from the side... it looked like a C32.. i didn't even bother going to it.... and then the guy came from Benz to get the car out and when he started the car.... i was .. the sound of a V8 powerd AMG ... and when the car moved a bit i noticed the 4 tip's in the back i knew then it was the C55 ....
Well, i told the guy that i want to take for a spin... he said that the car needed fuel... i told him i'll get you red number plates and we'll both go for gas... but i want to drive... he said sure thing.... so i went to the gas station put in 2/- of gas..
and then the fun starts ... i barried my foot down on the gas peddle with trac off and the car started going sideways with a pull and as i shifted the gears threw the steering wheels i noticed later in 3rd i was doing 190km in just a heart beat ....
to all M power drivers..... AMG is out to kill with this beast....

Sorry for the 'small pics'... there seems to be limit set for uploading pictures, so we can only post links of images at this time
I have even 'smaller' ones in my C55 collection... around 4328x2903 resolution to be precise.
:p

Whoa!! Totally loving the starless grille!
Ahmed do you have any sound clips by any chance of the car? Would love to hear what that sounds.
hold on to your shorts cause what i'm about to say is no exaggeration!
The C55 AMG and the McLaren SLR sounded exactly the same!!!
oh jamE55, wish i did, cause when we fired her up at the F1 GP AMG stand.... well.... how can i put it!!!

I thought it would sound more like the clk55
However, as explained by the MB rep at the stand, the C55 and CLK dont share the same engine! The engine block of the C55 is identical to that of the SL and E55 except without the kompressor!
the AMG quad exhaust makes alot of difference in the exhaust note! You should have heard the SLK 55's rumble by!

The motor is the same in the CLK55 and the C55. The rep clearly was mistaken. AMG has already stated that the SLK55,C55, and CLK55 share the same motor.
The cars seen as medical cars at the F1 events are not stock in any respect. They all have various upgrades including but not limited to race exhausts, racing designed springs, shocks, swaybars, brakes (8 pots front 4 pots rear), oil coolers, over-sized tires, roll cages (in the CLK55) and racing seats (and belts).
The exhaust note is not anything near that of a stock C55/SLK55 and if it were I would run out right now and buy one right away. I have seen the CLK55 and SL55 at the last 3 USGP's and I can safely say they sound completely out of this world but they are not stock.
Great pics, that car looks awsome especially on the inside with that new gage cluster.
By the way, no way can the c55 be 75k in usa simply because that is E55 teritory and that would just not make any sence.
the C55 will probably be $65k-70k after the tax and all that in the US.
