C55 stopping power

i have been going over some technical data and found that the new C55 will be equipped with the same front brake package as the 220 body S55,which means brembo will not have to build a new GT brake upgrade from scratch.some soon to be owners are already laying out plans to enhance their performance and appearance of their new obsessions, lots of engine bolt-on stuff will be common to previous models, suspension stuff is still being researched

all the pics show the standard 4 pot AMG brakes...no change from the C32.

S4 is correct...

The C55, C32 and the 2001-2002 S55 all had the same brake caliper and the same 13.6 inch rotor. No change...

Now I still want someone to explain why a lighter and equaly as powerful SLK55 has 6 pot front and 4 pot rear brembos as stock while the heavier C55 has the same old 13.6 inch 4 pot fronts and single pot fixed rear caliper brakes. What was AMG thinking? I am not joking here for this is totally wrong if you ask me! That when combined with the fact that the SLK55 has the 7 speed trans and the C55 the old 5 speed makes me think that the C55 might not be worth a look!

I heard that the SLK55 will be later replaced with the new 6.3 (new AMG V8 4-valve engine)... so they're building an overall package now to make as little changes as possible in a few years.

The C55, on the other hand, will be totally changed (W204?!?) so by that time a better brake system will be used... therefore they had to first use whats available.

Moreover, the current brakes in the C32 and the C55... are sufficient and extremely good for now... but not the best.

No problem, it wouldn't be the Internet without some bogus information now and again. That stuff keeps things lively.
