2003 C32 AMG
replacement brake pads
I just got my car back from the dealer for service B. The guy told me that I only have 20% left on my brakes. Any advice on what to get for replacement pads? I don't track or race the car. I just use the car as my daily driver. I live in Anaheim, California. Are there any good shops to get the pads and get them installed? I'm just trying to not pay dealers prices.

Brake Pads
People seem to like the Porterfield R4S brake pads. Supposed to be better than stock and a lot less dust. I just ordered a set but have yet to receive them.

i was also just in for my B service and was shocked when i was told that my brakes were 75% gone with 15k miles on the car. is everyone experiencing the same wear? i think i got 35k miles off a set of pads on my old C43 so i was suprised, and I beat the **** out of that C43!

C43's brake pads and rotors cost a lot more though if im not mistaken!!! Oh I cant wait to replace the brakes on my 43

I have them on my ML....... they take some time to get worn in but when they do they bite a lot harder then OEM pads... bad thing though is that on some nights on my way home at Miami after-clubbing hours they tend to squeak quite a bit when u press on the brakes. I get non of that squeakin in the day time though...just the occassional minor low toned squeak right be4 full stop. I do enjoy the fact that I dont have to clean the dust off my rims every 10 miles though!!

the benz pads for the C43 cost me $350 a set, not cheap and dusty as hell
