What about having catylitic converters removed?

I've had mine removed on most of my cars including my IS300 and noticed a huge difference is performance and sound. How hard is this to do or can it even be done on a C32? Are there cats coming off the manifold or just inline before the muffler? Would you need to have an O2 simulator to avoid throwing CEL's?
Thanks

And pollute the environment just to get more power? No thanks, that's a pretty selfish thing to do.

The easiest way to remove the cats would be to buy cat-less racing exhaust headers & piping. Check Supersprint, they might have something for you. And yes, you would need an O2 sensor dummy, all OBDII cars throw faults when the O2 sensor isn't working.

dont know about the C32, but after deleting the aftercats on my ML and leaving the 2 precats I lost some low end torque but I did pick up some horespower at higher RPMs.

i only deleted the 2 aftercats.. I still kept the centre resontor. The ML sounds aggressive enough as it is with the combination fo the RENNTech CF airbox and deleted aftercats!!! I was thinking about replacing the centre resonator with a magnaflow but I think I'm just going to keep the ML the way it is... no more mods!!

you could get the metalic cats from MKB. I am not sure if they would be legal in the US however.

I put mine on about a year ago(+ the MKB headers) and it gives the cars a very different sound. When driving normally the sound level is just a touch louder. When flooring it the beast comes out !

I guess since the metal cats also have a slighte larger 'holes' it should give a few HP.

If you replace your cats with aftermarket remember Oval cats have greater surface area and will flow better.

questions....what if i remove just my rear cats ..leaving the resonator in ...how will it sound compared to stock? basically the same right? and removing the rear cats since it's passed the O2 sensors anyway will dealer/inspection fail me?
