M44 error code
Hello all,
Recently i came across a C30 that i aquiered and working on to restore it.
I have managed to fix almost all the issues with the car. The only issue i am struggling with is an error i get for the air circulation pump.
The error code is P2519-008 M44 (Charge air cooler circulation pump) open circuit.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I am not familiar with the C30, but on other AMGs that use an air-to-water charge cooling system, M44 refers to the pump that moves water from the the heat-exchanger back to the innercooler. This pump is normally mounted less than a foot from the heat-exchanger (heat exchanger is a smallish radiator normally mounted in the lower front bumper opening).
hope that helps,
Chris

also found a schmatic of the intercooling system and will try and see if i can locate the pump this weekend. Will keep your advice in mind when working on it

Hey Roel, have you managed to fix this issue? I've bought c30, fixed almost everything and that this the only error left, P2519-008 M44. Hope you can share you exp on fixing this issue.

Thanks for response. There is only one water pump? In C32 for example there is two, main and supportive, so just want to make sure I will change the one that is broken. I could not find any scheme of cooling system of c30 AMG. I assume it can be the one BOSCH 0005000386?

this is the current direct replacement for M44 in the SLK32 and C32 (also used in e55, sl55,s55, etc)... it is often referred to as the "010" pump the part number ends with 010 (original pump ended with 002 IIRC)
not sure if the c30 uses the same kind of charge cooler pump (as the slk32 and c32 ) ... but if it does, this is the current pump that Mercedes sells for this application (under part number A0005000286)
hope that helps,
Chris

curious as to how the c30 is configured, I just looked it up in the EPC and it shows it both with an air-to-air and with an air-to-water intercooler arrangement (the latter using a pump presumably designated "M44")
HOWEVER, the pump is a bit different than the standard bosch. The pump referrenced in the EPC for the C30 (model # 203018) is a Pierburg with a mercedes part number of 0005505583
SO, does your c30 have n air-to-air OR an an air-to-water intercooler? AND if it does have the air-to-water , is it on the left or right of the car (relative to sitting in the car and looking forward)?

I wont say the CWA100 would not work, but if you don't need (or use) its PWM control ... a $110 bosch should do the job
if you do need the CWA100, best to buy it under that part number (about $300 vs 2 - 4 times as much under mercedes part number)

I think capo_vendetta is right that Pierburg CWA 100.2 probably will suit. As latemodel21 wrote mercedes has a part number 0005505583. I found original pump using this number in one auction:
And it is very similar to Pierburg CWA 100.2.
But I would like to make sure if that is correct one (Pierburg CWA 100.2) and will work with c30 engine, as it is not cheap = /

assuming the CWA100 does make sense for your application, here is a good price on one (I have bought 2 from this EBAY seller over the years). You would want to make sure that it is the correct cwa100 for your app before buying (I use it as "on" and "off" only in SL55 and SLK32, so my application is less particular of the pumps PWM functions).
