C55 oil dipstick

hey fellas, anyone know the part number for a oil dipstick for manual oil checks.
local MB said there's nothing for the C55. Does the C63 dipstick work ??
Cheers for any advice ..

Why not just use the in cluster oil reader?

Do an oil change and see what the level sensor says.

I've only sold one or two oil level sending units in the 15 years I've spent on the MB parts counter.

If you are are showing low oil, chances are you have a pretty good real main seal or valve cover gasket leak

The 6.3 dipsticks work just fine and they look nicer as well.

just change oil in my C55 with adding 7,5 liters. Check the OBD which say 7,3 liters but with the manual dipstick i read 111 mm, far from the 150 mm mentioned by mercedes.
I don't understand why.
Do you read on the manual dipstick the 165 mm?

C55 AMG T with Kleemann K2 and some stuff: 414 hp and 576Nm :-)
8,5 liters of oil is standard when you change the oil in a C55, inclusive the filter.

When reading the OBD the car must be absolutely levelled.

There are two drain plugs. I reference 165 mm when changing.

just added 1 liter to arrive to 8,5 liters. OBD say 8,3 liters and 120 mm on the dipstick. Maybe this one don't go up to the bottom of the pan.

my dipstick hits the bottom of the sump pan and reads 140mm for 8.5L and 125mm for 7.5L ., if you check in dyno mode the level sensor reads to 100 mL . start the engine and watch the level drop .then you know the sensor works

Because you can't tell how DIRTY or diluted the oil is without changing it.

New to C55 and about to do my first oil change. I have some rookie questions.

1. Can I use a Topsider to suck oil up through dip stick tube in C55?
2. In understand C63 dipstick fits C55. Can I leave it in while driving or is it simply a measurement tool. I would like to be able to see the oil when measuring.

1. No. There are two drain plugs.

2. No. The correct dipstick will not fit all the way in and the reading should be 165mm.

If you drain both plugs, 9 qts will be correct.
