what tire do you guys run?
Rears are showing threads a bit so Im due for a new set.
Currently has Pirelli P zero which I dont like(came on car)
What do you guys usually run? Id prefer comfort over performance for now.

Currently running falken azenis rt615k+ all around. In my opinion the best daily tire you can get. Current setup on stock rims and height is 235/40/18 in the front and 265/35/18 in the rear with zero rubbing. I previously ran firestone indy 500 firehawks, and while they are the best bang for buck, the falken azenis are a different story. I've pushed my c55 harder than i thought i could. Launches like a wombat now even with traction control off. They improved my ride comfort and they are quieter than any tire i've put on so far. I drivemy c55 around 20k miles a year and these are the best tires for my purpose. They grip quite well in the rain as well. Did a few 60-0 and 30-0 brake tests and was blown away by the improvement. Highly reccomend getting them. Also tirerack has a 100 buck rebate for a set of 4.

As far as Michelin PS4....Id want something cheaper on a lowered car coz they probably wonr last long. Id hate to burn through a set of thousand dollar tires in a year

Can you tell me how many miles you've gotten out fo the Pirelli's? My fronts are shot with only 6500 miles, rears looks almost new. Plus fronts are only worn on the outside of the tire. Waiting to hear back from MB since I've only had the car since July, it was a manager demo with 2700 miles on it then.

Not sure they were on the car when I bought it but I think the previous owner included the receipt. Ill check and let you know.
Surprisingly the fronts look ok still, its the rears that show some cords.

I think there is an underlying issue that has caused the front tires to be worn on the outside. I spoke to two other tire professionals and they both said that it's strange to see the fronts go before any significant wear on the rears. Waiting to hear back from MB corporate.

yup i've had a full trunk and 4 adults many times in my car. I have 4 adults in my car on a weekly basis. Car squats as it would normally due to stock c55 springs but zero rubbing. Just remember you can only run a 265 performance tire and not a all season. I'll post some pics soon. Really beeffened up the car and makes it look a lot more aggressive. All done on the stock rims.

If the outside of the tires are wearing that quick, I think you may have a camber issue. Usually I have go through 2 sets of rear tires before I have to replace the front tires. Currently I run Michelin Pilot sports A/S 3 because I drive my car year round and they have a tread rating of 500. I’m about to replace my rear tires next week and I was able to get 26,000 miles out of those bad boys. But I never broke the 18,000 mile mark with them on the old C32 FYI

I'm running Toyo Extensas. When I got the car earlier this year it had Extensas on the rear and something else on the front. The fronts were trashed, so I just matched what was already on the rear. They were fairly inexpensive and I have no complaints about them at all. For an all season tire of this type I think they're good. Definitely comfortable and acceptably quiet.

I would think the height and strength of the outside wall of the tire determines the outer wear, at least on lowered car with negative camber. Also the stiffness of the suspension will be a factor. stiff car plus strong sidewals will prevent the tire from rolling under.
My fronts still look brand new from what I can tell. I have to look at the alignment sheet just to see what the camber is

I used to run Hankook V12 Evo 2's quite often, then the Michelin Pilot Super Sports, but my last two sets of tires were Continental. I've been happy with them, especially the change from the Extreme Contact DW (now discontinued) to the Extreme Contact Sport. Definitely a great tire compared to the PS4S for the price.

Since it doesn't seem to matter how little I lay into the rear tires, as they need replaced every 2 years regardless, I'm going to try the Firestone Indy's and be done with worrying about my expensive Pilots.
