Am I AMG poser?
I have 2002 C320. I plan to change the bodykit including the exhaust + wheels. In short, I just want to have C32 looks on mycar. However, I never have a plan to stick C32 AMG badge and V6 kompressor badge on the car. I just want to have the looks because I like its sportiness of AMG bodykits compared to Brabus/Carlsson. Nothing more. I know C32 AMG is the beast, but for old guy like me C320 engine has everything I need.
So, am I considered as a poser?
Please advise,
you can even put the amg badge on the trunk and still be fine IMO just as long as you dont put a C32 badge on it. Some may not agree but i think AMG badge represents you have AMG parts on your car and not a real amg car unless you have the proper series badge. Just as one rep from brabus said, they will put the trunk BRABUS badge if you bought brabus wheels, but not the "B" emblem which replaces the star on the front/rear, or the B11, B9, B55S etc etc. badges until you have undergone Brabus engine mods.
Nah it's cool. That's what I have on my car actually. I put on the C32 bodykit because to me, that's the most attractive kit out of the bunch. Well except the rear. I think the Lorinser rear is better looking.
except the Lorinser rear part. I hate those useless vents

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Q: Can my regular Mercedes-Benz car be converted into an AMG?
A: No, AMG vehicles are not Mercedes-Benz cars that are disassembled and then modified to increase their performance. Instead, AMG cooperates with Mercedes-Benz from a very early stage in the design process to develop high-performance vehicles that not only offer power but also all of the other features required in a Mercedes-Benz performance car: powerful brakes and exhaust systems matched to vehicle performance, safety systems adjusted to the characteristics of each model, reinforced suspensions and other elements. Accordingly, AMG models cannot be created retroactively out of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Q: Where can I get AMG badges to put on my C230 (or any other lower line car) to make it look like I have a real AMG?
A: AMG badges alone will not convince car enthusiasts that a vehicle was built by AMG. True AMG vehicles are easily recognizable through their intake and exhaust systems and their AMG-developed aerodynamic bodywork and alloy wheels. Owners who need to replace their AMG badge can obtain one as a spare part through their Mercedes-Benz dealership.
