C55 Horsepower

5hp is fairly insignificant, it could be a difference in the way they're rating it, or maybe due to intake/exhaust differences. Or they could be going the way of Nissan and are rating all the cars with the same engine with slightly different amounts of power.

5hp difference...
It is very common to have some difference in Horse Power rating just due to the exhaust configuration, not to count that changing the timing slightly can easily yield 5 hp with no sweat (SL55 vs E55 have the same engine and yet there is a almost 50 Horse Power difference on each vehicle!
)
Cheers!

I think the C55 has the same hp as the CLK55. It is just the number game that MB is playing.

The C55 engine is identical to the CLK55 (W209), they both have 11.0 compression as opposed to the previous 5.4L N/A M113 V8s, which have 10.5 compression ratio... taht acconts for the extra HP in the C55 and CLK55!!! But both CLK55 and C55 should put out the same numbers on the dyno!!!

Where are you getting the hp #s from? I have always seen 362 for all 3 cars. The C55 still isn't on mbusa.com.

7 DIN hp difference. Hmm... The exhaust systems are probably quite different, and I bet that caused the difference. That was the case with the W208 CLK55, IIRC.
