StarFest shaping up!
If you want to face some competition on the track, then you better sign up for StarFest '04. We already have 11 C32's and SLK 32's signed up. That will make for a real competitive 3 days of time trials and autocross at the Mid-Ohio road course, drags at Dragway 42. Dates are July 31 through August 4. see www.Starfest2004.org for entry info.

What is the general schedule of this event in terms of when you can get on the track? Is it from the 1st to the 3rd? I would like to come for the track days.
Also how will the time be structured? How many sessions? How many run groups?
Is there a day for time trialing or just work it into the sessions?

Schedule for Mid Ohio
All track events will be on Monday through Wednesday, starting at about 9 am through about 5 pm. Autox will be done at the same site (Mid Ohio has a kart track which doubles as an autocross track, much like BeaverRun). We're expecting 60 to 100 drivers total. Each driver will probably be scheduled for two days at the track (one day practice, the second will be one half day practice and half day time trials). Probably all timed runs for time trials will be on Wednesday. Acceleration run will be at Dragway 42 on Monday night. We're setting this up so there will be little down time between runs - one group off while the next is pit out. If you miss the call, too bad. You missed your time on the track. We rented transponders, and each car will have one, so you'll be able to view your times and other times for practice laps as well as timed laps. You'll probably get at least 5-20 minute runs the first day, and 2 the second day, plus your run for time. We're working the final details out next Monday (July 5) at my house. Anyone who wants to come and help put this together is welcome. Let me know if you need directions.

Carl: I haven't decided yet on Summit Point; chances are I will be there. Right now I am still on the wait list for AMG Challenge at Indianapolis. They will run on the road course that F1 uses. If I don't get in by tomorrow I will cancel my reservation and will try again next year.
