C32 Dashboard Question

I was just reading the Forbes review of the C32 (Very nice, might I add), and there was a picture of the interior. In the center of the dashboard there is a little lip with something like a sensor in it, what is this? Is it a radar detector? I have sat and driven a C320 before, never a C32 but never noticed this. Here is the picture:

Thanks.

That is the front Parktronic display. The rear one is above the rear window so it can be seen in the rearview mirror.

The C32 has Parktronic as an option? I didn't know that.

Also, does the stick say C32 or AMG? I can't tell.

I just checked the MBUSA C32 web page, and Parktronic is not available in the US. Somewhaer on the numerous MB web sites, I encountered a demo of the Parktronic system. That is how I knew what the red and yellow display was.

The picture is too blurry to be sure, but it looks to me like it says C 32 on the shift knob. Hopefully, an owner will tell us.

stick says C32

But it never stays on from what I have heard. Parktronic definately not offered here, at any price. I dont think they know how to service all the options here so they just give us a handful of the full options list that AMG offers.

Awesome job....

That looks like it came right off the factory! sweeeeet....Weiderman I have a question for you....do you have stock springs? I really like the way your car sits on the rims, and I'm about to get a set of 19's but I don't want it to look "lifted"....
anyways, wish sunman could come out to jersey and do some installs (hint hint)

May I ask where you ordered it from? Would the local dealer be able to order it? TIA.

My springs are the same (Euro versions), just US specs cars come with a suspenssion that is a big "higher".

Like Mr Frank said, you can get a cup kitt, or coilovers and have them adjusted to the height of your preference.

If you are going for the install, Mr Sunman is your man!... ... just the humidity of Jersey is a KILLER!!...LOL...

Cheers

Dr. Sunman now does house calls. Awesome. I probably don't have to wait for Steve to pimp out my car then. I can count on you!

Mr. BlackC230Coupe:

LOL... ... When I ordered my C32, I wanted to have the self leveling suspension... that was an extra 12 thou. euros... then (at that time), for an additional 20 something thousand extra Euros I could have had the V8 engine put in... (still with the exhaust on the left side only)... by that time, the C32 was more expensive than an stock E55... then I got "all wrapped" up and ordered my custom built V12 E-AMG beast... the cost????... whelp???.. that is another monstrosity price wise...but is a total beast.. Another good reason, "why" I don't go "home" (Austria) often... I would wipe myself out in no time, cause there is "another" car to build... bigger, better... and with more options...lol

Cheers!
