After my research was completed, I placed my order. There are All LEDS in the interior which were exchanged by blue LEDS.
The light change on the AC control unit was a problem since it is equipped with lamps instead of LEDS.
I used white LEDS in the combination display, since the LCD is blue in the background and is not visible with blue/blue numbers.
I am happy with the results, hope you all like it

As you can all see, I think the pictures speak for themselves
This project took about (approximately) one week of active work and long preparation time.
There were used aprox 160-170 parts. Everything was purchased with Conrad electronics for approx.. 120 Euros
Be advised (just in case) the ruler in the picture is in Centimiters! (not inches!)

white and whiter
not feeling it. If you've driven VW w/ their blue gauges, you'll understand it's very hard to adjust your eye to read the gauge and then look back up at the road. My Beetle 1.8T gives me headache when I drive really long distance at night if I try to read the gauge, most of the time I try to avoid reading the gauge. Orange to Red is the best (Audi/BMW/MB).

hey guys. I did this entire conversion on my 1995 E36 M3. it was not easy but i was the only one to do the entire interior. it requires alot of practive with a soldering iron. If you've built circuit boards before then you should be in decent shape. Its pretty tough and takes a long time but as said the results are WELL worth the effort.

Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of the installation

The parts are all available pretty much around you .. the aftermarkets parts came from a shop from Germany . If you follow the link I posted to the original posting, its all in german, you won't have a problem readin it (I posted the translation to make it a little easier for the folks over here in this west side of the Atlantic )
As Mr. FrankW and Mr. OmeyHomey indicated

As Mr. OmeyHomey indicated the project requires some soldering. It is not a "simple" project (well... to me anything beyond pressing the lock, un-lock button on my MB remote control is "complicated" lol (lazy me!) )

Do you really want a VW bug interior in youre Mercedes Benz? I vote for oem
