I'm looking for someone that successfully swapped an engine in a W203 / 209 chassis. Including programming ECU, other modules and ESP/traction control obv.
Starting mid next month, i want to swap in a different engine and transmission. Its either gonna be the 5.5 V8 Kompressor or more likely the 6.2 M156. I know that Georgi Benz had performed an engine swap to his C55 but cant find any info or contact really.
No need to tell me that engine swapping is not really possible because there is not enough space in the engine bay, not cost effective or similar. Space is no problem on a CLC (CL203 chassis) and cost for the project is not really a big concern tbh.
If you have done similar or know someone that has the equipment and knowledge please contact me via forum PM or alternatively send me an email (cedric.2010@icloud.com).
As mentioned, the project should begin mid November preferably. The car is currently in Newark waiting for it to begin. I'd have it transported to the required location.
Not necessary but appreciated:
- look for engine and transmission in the area by yourself, maybe you have some connections if you are in the business.
- performing the swap in a quick manner
- documenting the process a little with pictures

Yea C Sportscoupe and CLC are well identical .. exterior facelift pretty much. I've seen pictures of the project forum but could never find anything else. Except for the final video:
Wouldn't go as crazy though. The way it might have come from a factory. Tbh im thinking about getting a CLK63 and then have someone swap the engine, transmission, brakes, rear diff etc. That way i have all the pieces of the puzzle.
That vid and build thread are absolutely awesome! I’ve owned 7 VW Corrado’s in varying states of tune from 158hp to 556hp and always wished someone would make a modern Corrado. This is the closest thing to it I’ve seen! I’m a die hard Benz guy too, so you have forever changed the goals I have.

Hi guys I’m new here, I’m looking for a front end schematic.. managed to stick my coupe into a field on the last day of the year😅. A lot of broken plastic and 2 broken radiators and and oil leak. So just need to look at what parts need to be replaced etc.
