Leasing options for C55? Not so good?
Check w/ Mercedes and some other lenders. Money factors not very competitive and the residuals are weak. In comparison the BMW M3 has decent money factors and a strong residual making it much more appealing.
I like the C55 better, but I'm not goin to pay and extra $150-200 a month over an M3.
Maybe I'm talking to the wrong lenders??? If anyone is getting a good lease rate/residual please let me know who you went through.

MBCC has a residual of 54% at 15k miles for 36mos. You can add 2% for 12k & 3% for 10k. Also right now MBCC is running a 36+1 program where you get to add 1% to the standard 36mo residual for free. So, using that program the 36mo program would be 55% @ 15k, 57% @ 12k & 58% @ 10k. Just remember that MBCC calculates the residual amount off the total MSRP less any Gas Guzzler Tax!!

2005 C55 AMG (as of October 2004) 2004 BMW X5 4.4i
residuals of 54% (55% with the new promotion) are in line with the best deals I could find. However, MBCC's money factors are really much higher than what I could get outside.

It doesn't stack up well agains the BMW M3 in terms of residual or money factor. MBCC sucks *** in the MF department but they are great in terms of lease returns, buying additional mileage and being flexible in compromising situations like our recent crash in our E500.
