Dealer slowed down my car!!!
I took my C32 in for the some of the usual stuff that seems to break (air conditions, clock spring in steering wheel, ESP flashing, sunroof not always closing) you know the usual stuff that breaks with 17,000 miles on a MB. The service tech said they "flashed" the ECU with some updates and now the car is noticably slower. I bought the car used with 12,000 miles and can't figure this out

What consists of a "Renntech stage 1"? What was actually done to acheive the "Renntech stage 1" status. If an ECU reprogramming was done during this upgrade, I am afraid to tell u that all the ECU programming that was done is gone and they flashed it with the regular program.

The dealership sometimes will have bulletins on upgrades to the ECU that they do with out your consent. Its just one of those routine things they do that MB puts out. That why I didn't get my ECU upgrade because they can easily flash the ECU and you f*&cked!

I also had my ECU upgraded by RENNTECH, but, they store my ECU software parameters for my car, they GUARANTEE that if the dealership flashes the ECU, the MB tuner shop will re-install the upgrade immediately and for FREE, for the life of the car.
I was told that up front before I decided to go ahead with the ECU upgrade. That is huge and can remedy this problem, if that's what indeed happened. Talk to whomever installed your ECU upgrade, and ask if they'll do the same thing. If it's done through RENNTECH they should stand behind their work.
Let me know what they say. Thanks !

I had the same issue after taking my car in. Not only that but from a standing start the car now shifts out of first at 5500-5600 rpm. It used to shift at redline like it is supposed to. Dealer claims they can't find anything wrong and the car is performing as designed.
