ever since i saw a black c55 at the dealer..i've been torn inside. torn between my current 98' white M3 and the new C55. the darkside is calling to me..i can't resist. my m3 is pretty much suped up to the point i still think it's pretty clean looking. but...the C55, god damn that's a sweet car. the dealer is giving me a good price..and has been calling me twice a day to come pick it up. wut 2 do???

Depends what type of car you are looking for. The C55 will blow the E36 M3 away in straight line performance, luxury, etc. Haven't driven a C55 yet, but hear they handle pretty well compared to the C32. But the two cars are tottally different beasts alltogether.

Personally I'd get the C55. I came from the BMW world, but just traded up to a C32 recently.

I came from bmw 328ci, It was the third bmw i owned. I changed to the dark side with a blk c55, no complains yet, except I wish my saleperson would have explain the options better. (he kinda cheated me out of bi-xenon)
Even though I forget all about it when I listen to that v8 purr.

I've got an E36 325 with an OBD1 3.2l engine and RMS stage 2 supercharger, and it doesnt compare to the C32. It has more power and will probably pull the C32 on the freeway. But the power delivery on the C is so much better.

Get the C55, you wont regret it if its everything Ive heard it is

We test drove a new M3 the day we bought our C55 and the inside window trim fell off in my wife's lap as we pulled out of the dealership for a test drive.

it's known to be an on-going problem w/ the M3 and all the E46's, for that matter...M3 or not.... that happened to my buddy's car and he just took it back to the dealer to get fixed....what baffles me is that such a minor detail such as adhesive is overlooked through quality control process? maybe it'd be ok if it happen to a few, but I'd see a number of 3-series owners on the road driving w/ a black piece of rubber dangling from their roofline man, I'd either get that fix ASAP or at least pull it off and hide it!!!! EMBARASSING!!!! :p

Not such a big deal until you realize that BMW is using "advanced" adhesive technology to connect portions of the unit body.

If my unit body came apart do to an adhesive failure I would come unglued!
