My Poor Car

Here's some pics of my car at night (I just got my digi cam i'll put more pics later in the daytime). I was driving on the 210 and i guess i hit a nail... so here's what the spare tire looks like! It says max 50 but i've gone around 90 on it and it's fine!

At least the C55 has a real spare! My C32's spare was a can of FIX-O-FLAT. Fortunately, I never had to use it.

Hey Lookey Lookey...

So MB/AMG CAN produce a "steel" wheel that can clear the larger AMG
calipers! Back in '02 (on another Forum) there was talk that the reason our c32's did not have a spare was b/c they could not create a steel wheel that cleared the calipers. I commented that was hogwash, as Porsche provided a steel wheel, with collapsable spare, to clear my larger 911 Turbo brakes!

Just wondering, does the spare only fit the rear or can it be used for the front as well?

PS. Please give me a break on the spelling Vomit... LOL

Yea, I don't think it was a good idea, i'm getting it replaced finally today. The tire is actually smaller and skinnier. It's really cool how it fits in your trunk though! Amazing german technology

replica = knock-offs = fake = affordable = I don't have to worry or be angry as much if I get a curb rash or bent rim.

Did the flat cause any damage to your AMG wheel?

There was no noticeable damage to the wheel that I could see. The tire was completely ruined though, since bubbles started showing up on the wheel. The tire took about... 4 days to come in. The dealership said the tire size is "rare" so you guys may experience some waiting time if your tire ever gets blown.

Thank goodness for that tire protection warranty. Those pzeros are expensive!

are you guys getting your replacement tires from the dealer? why?

my experience in nyc/nj has been that the dealer never has the size i need in, always has to order it and marks it up big time. why not go to a wheel and tire place?

i went to the dealer due to my tire warranty. They said they'd fill out all the claims and paperwork needed to get me another tire, and I'm a lazy person so I just agreed to go there

I went straight from the dealership to Discount Tire and got the tire warranty. The program that they offered through the dealership looked like it could be a real hassle to squeeze any money from them should something need to be replaced, so I told them they could keep it.
