does any one know the diff oil spec for a 2005 c55 mag

I have tried looking threw the site and have found the oil spec web site very helpful in selecting oils,
but I am just wondering
the diff oil spec for this car
also the trans oil spec for this car is Fuchs 4134 acceptable in choice of fluid.
mine is lsd do the fancy lsd still run normal lsd oil or is it some additive required?

thanks in advance

I would spec your VIN and make sure you have a mechanical LSD. C55s have electronic versions from the factory. Unless you installed a Quaife or similar?

Electronic slip regulation (reducing the slipping wheel electronically vs. transferring the torque mechanically) vs. conventional mechanical LSD such as Quaife. It's why I'm interested I seeing the VIN. I'm wondering if it's a non-USA or non-NA car that could have been equipped otherwise.

I installed the Quaife on my C55 and the outgoing diff was not mechanically limited slip and I can't find any USA information that lists an LSD. The AMG Client Shop would install an AMG Differential Lock back in the day, but the closest thing outside their shop was a Quaife or similar.

If it's an aftermarket LSD, use whatever oil the LSD manufacturer recommends (Probably Quaife or Wavetrac).

If it's the stock open diff, it looks like Mercedes recommends somewhere between 75W-80 and 75W-90 - probably won't matter much what brand as long as you don't use crap.

I'm looking for much the same thing - I just bought a Mercedes OEM unit from a C63 with the P30 LSD (I don't know what year - Drexler is the OEM). Not sure where to find that - the Mercedes fluids website listed above is a little vague since it's a rare option and Drexler shows it but has almost no information on it other than a photo and dimensional drawing with no dimensions.

Attached is the MB AG report. 165 is a South Africa assembled car(?), along with Australian Spec mentions. LastVIN.com has been reporting some strange stuff lately. Your car and mine as a Germany produced car share the same as delivered diff and mine was not a mechanical LSD from the factory. I'm inclined to think that the 165 from the MB AG report is correct and the lastVIN report is in error.
