Headers: Who makes them and how much?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to maintain emissions legality but want to get headers to liven up the exhaust sound and engine output.

I have looked at Kleemann's headers and have looked at JP Performance to maybe make some custom headers.

Does anyone know if RENNtech still makes headers? They used to do so.

Also, any good/cheap places to get jet hot coating?

Thanks in advance.

We are currently testing to see if our E55 W211 headers will fit other cars. It appears that one side will clear, but the other will be different. We should know soon.

How much are the supersprint headers for C32? Any idea on performance gains or if it will change my car passing smog? Thanks!

Around 15RWHP and 15 RWHTQ. We are looking at producing our own set. Stay Tuned.

We are currently evaluating the fitment and pricing. It would seem that the headers we make would be in the $2000 to 2500 range and would include a true 2 stage ceramic coating.

I would love to see testpipes from Evosport.

This motor clearly has more breathing room. I am sure a mechanical fix on the primary cats would take care of any related CEL. Big profit for an item that would take minimal bending. Hint, hint. Build it and we'll buy it.

renntech actually just made headers for the C55. 25HP and 25lbs of tq. gain.

The RENNtech are $5000 for the C55 they are very nice and SS but of course the price is way over board in there defense I know the guy that builds them and it takes three days labor to weld up a set and close to $1000 in materials.

I was quoted $3600 for the Kleemann ones still way off the chart. If evosport comes up with some soon for a reasonable price I would get those if not I may have my guys knock out one off a pair should run 600 bucks or so in materials from Burrins stainless another 50 for the flanges and a week of late nights building them. I would much rather just buy a set from evosport I think 2K would be more then fair if they come in for that so long as the quality is top notch as I am sure it would be.

Have you ever purchased high grade stainless bends or had parts C&C milled as the flanges are? I do every day, we built a SS manifold not long ago $750 was the bill for materials and this was for a log style manifold on a one off turbo conversion lexus, ie. its much cheaper to build then a tubular manifold (You may have seen the car in the Rob Report makes and modles issue or on dream car garage.)
I assume Renntech doesn't buy in mass product quantity as they only build a few sets at a time as orders come in so I don't think they buy any cheaper then I do.

BTW Titanium is not that much more then good SS, Iconal and some other exotics really get up there.
http://www.burnsstainless.com/index.htm might want to check out some prices before you go calling people crazy.
