With your outrageous cost of living (real estate, food, clothing, council tax, TV tax, etc etc..), outrageously priced cars, and comparatively lower incomes, I can't see how they can afford such cars... While in med school I spent several months there (Leytonstone, UK) doing some electives.. I saw plenty of fancy cars there, but I honestly don't know how they do it... Maybe it has to do with the fact that Americans are the worst savers and the UK folk spend less on the frivolous stuff..

EKaru,
You should check out our meets in the MD area.
I would love to see the C55, Does yours have the LED tail lights or is that just the European model?

C32 AMG
Hi andy_cyp,
I read the forum daily, but sadly I got rid of my C32 6 months ago when somebody trashed the whole offside of the car . Spoilt the ownership feeling for me I'm afraid.
Still miss it though.
Aero (Cornwall).

Price of Cars
My car is imported from England. Does that count? I still have my Great Britain navigation disk with me but no use to me of course.
Btw, Ekaru: Uk cars are not outrageously priced. It just that US has one of the cheapest cars on the planet.
Here's what I call outrageous. I paid USD$184,000 equivalent for my grey import C32. An official import cost about USD$214,000 and a E55 cost $264,000 here. A 1.6L Toyota Corolla cost USD$46,000 here.

I think I'm a bit too far away to make the deal. I'm located in Singapore. My car is bought from a grey importer. We import most german cars from UK because we are also RHD here.

hi andy!
stockport based owner here!
i got my c32 estate in august but haven't had much time to read these boards.
love the car and relieved to find a source of info. for it eg. other people have the same problem as me with their heated seats, which i was going to phone MB about after the holidays.
would be great to get some more together for a UK meet.....

Hi Stablay
nice to meet you, would be great for a few of us to get a get-tpgether but at the mo its unlikely as theres only two of here that read these forums, lets hope we get a few more in at least.
But i have faith and maybe a get together can be arranged quicker than we both think cuz im sure there are lots of 32/55 owners here.
Take care mate
