I think they usually sell for around $500 retail. $300 is a very good price.

Installation is aruond $120-140 depends on where you go.

Retail is 525 for renntech springs. Around my area, it costs about 200 for an install.

Where are you getting these springs from? technically, when u speak to renntech they say there springs are not out for the C55. But of course any will fit. They just feel they wanna have a different set made to handle the different weight distribution.

The springs were originally from a 2004 clk. They are used for only a few hundred miles, but had to be removed due to moving to a new place and the car being too low. Are 2004 clk springs okay for the c55?

Renntech would say no, but it should be fine, i wouldn't worry about it. My coilovers probably were not designed for a C55, but its fine. Plus people use the coilovers for c-class and CLK cars. You should be ok.

How is it that you can put in the Renntech springs without changes your struts and shocks? How can the stock struts and shocks match up with the new stiffer and lower springs. Dampening rates have to be off.

I have never heard of this with other model cars.

Anyone with knowledge on this, please advise.

Don't forget to look at coilovers if you haven't already...

Well, people put springs on all the time without changing stock shocks. The AMG shocks can deal with the compression a little better then the stock shocks on other c-class's. But if you are looking for ideal handling and better long term affects, changing the shocks as well is the way to do it. Most people don't care about handling and just want the car to sit lower, that's why they just use spring, its easy and cheaper.

No problem. The renntech springs should only come with the springs and not struts as far as i know, that's unless the person you are buying them from had the stuts and are giving those up also.
