18's VS 19's

I am debating on going with 18s V.S. 19s. Please help me out if you have 18s or 19s and could give me feedback.

Pro's
-I know 19's are much more show
-Look SICK lowered!

Con's
-19's are more expensive
-Does it really ruin ride quality?
-Heavier
-Expensive

I had 19's and I loved how they looked, how they grip the road, and just totally sick lowered. BUT, and this is a huge BUT! If you have roads that are not sooo good, you WILL eventually have to replace one some where down the line. But if you life in florida, and looks like you do, I would go will 19's. If you purchase 18's and roll up to someone who has 19's your gonna wish you had gotten 19's! I would go with 19's just because u live in FL and the roads down there are great compared to boston roads!

Honestly, if you are 'unsure' 18 or 19 , the answer is 18.
People want a 19 , they will replace the 18 to a 19 on day 1.
There is only one value reason to have 19 on the C , much smart looking.

Our roads are too bumpy for any AMG suspensions, a 19 is worse but how much it is worse? If we want comfort, we would not want a AMG suspension car. I thought about going for a 19" , however, I am not a car technical guy, so I would not be able to find out what the adverse effect to safety and performance is, if I have them on and not get it done properly.
I will feel comfortbale to do all funny things to a not so powerful car, but C55 damn it is 367 hp 52kgm torque, it surely takes some experts to know how to mod it properly.

My two cents

Cheers
cnt

Stick with 17's if you want the best performance! You what they say " use the smallest diameter rim that will fit over the largest brakes you will need"

if looks are your main interest, go 19 for sure! 19x10 in rear...

I have both 18s and 19s. If anyone in the DC area wants some 19" SSR GT3s, come and get them. I'm stuck on my 18s. The 19s look much better, but the car is much faster with the 18s.

Cars and boats!
18s are the best compromise b/w performance and looks but 19s just look SICK on the C32!!! I have 18" RENNTech Monolites on my C32 right now. These wheels look great and I dont have to worry as much with all the construction that goes on near my job and my house. I couldnt drive on 19s daily... I would love to have a set of 19" HRE 547Rs but ill settle with what I have for now and eventually move onto a set of 19s that ill just put on for weekend drives and for shows. But I'll always have my set of 18" Monolites... I love them!!

My new 18" Carlsson 2/5 BE

I bought these a week ago, I didnt want 19s since I would have to use spacers and they would rub everytime I hit som irregularities.. Or atleast thats what I was told by someone with 19" Carlsson 1/16.

Now Im just going to replace the carlsson centercaps with mercedes ones

Remember that a standard lip three piece 19" wheel has a center section of 18", and an 18" has a center of a 17", so they look smaller than they really are. It is the reverse lip three piece wheel that runs true to size. One piece wheels don't have this problem. That said, I think that the BBS LM in 19" are the best looking wheel on a silver C32, period. Do a search and find the car alone in a outdoor parking lot. Awsome.

The deal closer for me is the price and availability of tires. You have many many more options on an 18 or a 20 than on a 19.
