C32 AMG owners.. Worth it?

Hello everyone. I'm looking at picking up a 02 C32 AMG. I have a few questions...

1. Is the C32 AMG worth the money?
2. What's your bigest complaint about the car
3. What do you love about the car

Thanks guys

C32 is the newest and cheapest AMG with performance equal to C55 which is new but more expensive , you have no choice. If you find one with good condition and price matches your budget. Go ahead. I shall let the C32 owners to tell you what details to watch out.

with a 2002 C32 in the low 30's days its a no brainer....buy a C230k or a used C32? Id do the C32 just for fun. Its a good car but the weak spot is the suspension. If you are looking for a sporty car you may be left looking for more. There are various upgrades that can help fix this issue for a reasonable cost.

The motor is strong, sounds great, and the car can easily be upgraded to have serious power.

Dont pay more tha 35k though... these cars fall in value like stones and there are cars selling is the low 30's all over the place.

Thanks for the reply cyn.

I'm looking for a new good weather daily driver and i think the AMG is exactly what i'm looking for. I already have a drag car... don't need another one.

I bought an 2002 C32 with 3,750 (not a typo) last August and I love the car. Well worth the money and lots of fun, plus it gets a lot of looks in traffic.

Positives: Great power and torque, comforable ride, looks good.
Negatives: suspension is weak....does not carve up the turns like my M3 did.
Problems: still learning about the car and don't really know of any. I have heard that there a electrical gremlins and air pump problems. Not sure.

Good luck if you get it!

The C32 is great... I don't really have any complaints other than gas mileage... but I guess you can't have the best of both worlds...

Very FAST Car. A sleeper unless you know your Benz..

I'm going to test drive it tomorrow. Unless it has some major problem.. I'll be buying it.

I've been searching but haven't come up with much. How hard would it be to get the C32 to 400+ Horsepower?

Do they make exhausts for the C32's? Like a Borla? I'd like a sporty exhaust but i don't want something loud.

No, i dont think there is a borla for the C32 as far as i know. I would suggest eisenhaus, you get get either a sport version which is only SLIGHTLY deeper then stock, or the race version which is louder.

Probably still as boring as it was back in the 80's.

Atleast some of the girls that goto the U are attractive.

Do yourself a favor...

...and buy the C32. I've owned a ton of nice imports, large (A8) to small (R32) and my '03 is by far the best combination of performance, stealth, luxury, and value. About the only issue I've had is that the car seems to go through the OEM Pirellis quickly. I'm on my third set at 30k. All that being said, if I only had the budget for one car as a year round daily commuter, living where I do I might think twice about rwd; but I store my C32 all winter and drive my AWD R32. It's not as fast as the MBZ, but it's a blast in the snow.

If you want your c32 to sound more meaner the cheapest way is to take out the resonator.

yeah, I dated both the college girls and the town girls....town girls were wild, freaks! college girls needed more overtime and liquor

I worked at what use to be c*ckeyed Oscars (across the street from Oscars)....working there made picking up girls pretty much a layup...
