performance figures

What are the performance figures in the real world of a stock C32 saloon? Mercedes quoted 5.2s for 0-60mph.

Depending on tires and weather/elevation you can do 0-60 anywhere from 4.8 to 5.5.

yeah it's a low-to-mid 13 second car in the 1/4 mile consistently. 0-60 lingers around 5 seconds, give or take 0.3 each way depends on driver and conditions. yes its automatic but there's a little technique invovled in launch. can't brake torque too much or too much wheelspin, and i think downshifting to first helps at first, then don't use the manumatic just let it shift when it hits redline. i believe this is the fastest way in my experience.

i used to think that it's a mid-13 second car like 13.6 and 0-60 in low-5's, but i found that the tests which produced these results were all at high elevation (like 1500 feet), and heavy headwind when testing. given supercharged nature of this car, elevation should make a difference. the c32 in real world is faster than e46 m3's after 60mph. 0-60 m3 can have edge if good driver, but if even launch, c32 will inch ahead consistently. to be honest, it's just about as fast as an E46 M3...it's a driver's race.

Weather makes a bigger differance as well for the FI engine, I notice it big time here in Florida...on a cool night with low humidity the car is much punchier.

Driving From Santa Barbara to OC acouple of months ago, i was on the 101 at 3 am and it was 51 outside and i was right by the water, i slowed to about 30 and accelerated and looked down briefly and i was going 145. You can feel how much harder the car pulls in cold conditions at sea level

I don't think you'll notice as much of a difference between colder and warmer temps if you can find something better than 91 octane. Good luck on that in CA, though.
