I'm not sure if I would really mind. Even better, it's off and you don't have to see the bright triangle.
As a dry weather car I have little need for it. If the car is going to be driven in snow/rain I understand your concern. If not I wouldn't be too concerned with it.
I have no idea what that would cost.
