Introducing myself

Just introducing myself, picked up a 98 c43 bout a month ago and suffered the tranny prob. a week after I bought it. Luckily its being fixed because of the warranty I purchased though taking forever. Anyhow im happy with the car overall but wondering if anyone could suggest a exhasut for it somthing with a litter more growl than stock maybe?

Welcome aboard! A couple questions for you, for the benefit of all by the way. How many miles on your C43 and what were the symptoms on your vehicle - did you have the tranny serviced previous to this? This is a problem near and dear to us and your input is greatly appreciated.

trans went at about 80k. Started by having a dealy when downshifting then began shifting increasingly hard with a very high-pitched whine, and then started slipping finally to the point where I would drive a few seconds and it would slip out of gear and just not move

Thanks for the response! Did you ever replace the fluid and/or filter prior to these problems?

there isn't much out there for exhaust. you can delet the secondary cats and remove the resonator for more growl.

The transmission is being rebuilt at a place in conneticut where the warranty company said it had to go to be rebuilt. The warranty is America's Choice ,worse warranty company in existance. Have been fighting them tooth and nail they wanted to put a used tranny with over a 100k miles on it so that was a fight in itself. Im not completely sure on the price yet however the deductable is a $100.

yea but it still took to damn long for them to fix, but a 100 bux compared to what the warranty company paid is nice.
