Speedybenz Suspension is Installed!
Especially if your car is already lowered or you plan on lowering it. Many people know him because they have his camber arms. Though I'm not sure how many know his entire suspension is custom.* Jeff (speedybenz) was embarassing everything from race prepped M3s to race prepped Elises in his highly modified C43 this summer (read me).
* I flew out to take a ride in Jeff's car before I bought the suspension... here were my thoughts
* ... and I now have that suspension on my C43 converted to a C55
... (thread here). ...ya, and it turns now too!
...just had to share, and give a little free publicity to the much deserving Speedybenz...

now time for some lightweight rims?
BTW, C55M80 thanks the the expaination on the other thread. It made perfect sense. Also, congrats on what you figured out that night with your wheels/tires. Very impressive and equally rewarding information.

:p (just kid'n) It was my pleasure. (The only reason I didn't start a new thread on it is it seems mathematics related topics or "theory of racing" subjects other then 1/4 mile times or "who'd-ja kill" threads don't seem to draw too much interest on the board. ...even if the fact is shaving off just a couple of pounds off the tires is worth many times that in rim weight)

Let me find some wood before I actually vocalize this... Will it be there? You bet, as long as I don't crack it up 1st!
I can see a race helmet and Lime Rock or Pocono in your future now.Your car will be the sickest MB anyone has ever seen on the track.Especially with the 5.5L motor. I am using the H&R's now which were a definite improvement over the eibach's, but I'm debating whether I'm going to S/C the M3 or the C55. By the way did Jeffrey M drive the car yet?

Na, too soon for Jeff to see it ... I just picked it up Monday night. It still needs to be sorted out too. Car's tending towards oversteer @ the moment, and my tires have little grip in this cold weather, so it won't live up to all it's capable of until it warms up, and I get to dial it in. (plus, car's slammed @ the moment ... suspension settled too much ... have to raise it up)
S/C the M3 or the C55...? why not both?!

But DAMN,I can only imagine what all your mods will add up to on the track.Just sic! I think you'll be fine with your suspension in the1/4.These cars don't squat like a manual shift car anyway thanx to the tranny. The M3's have pretty stiff suspensions and plenty of guys bring them to the track.Especially some of George's (ICS) fleet of turbocharged M3's with modded suspensions that do both 1/4 mile duty and roadracing. I'm dying to see your car run at Pocono or Limerock.

Why did you get the rear kit only or does it matter for the front? I'd think it'd be for the front and rear kit. Also let me know what your impressions are. Does it lower the car more or how exactly does it work? How does this compare to a RennTech rear subframe or do you know?
I just ned to know what year and engine size.
