Electronic Seat and Backlight on my C43

Hi guys,

Just a couple of questions on how to fix a couple of electronics glitches on my C43.

1): The backlight on the temperature climate control unit doesn’t come up at night. Is there a backlight or a fuse I should check?

2): On the driver seat, the back tilts to the front but I have to try multiple times to get it to tilt back. Is there a relay switch that triggers the motor to tilt back and front? Also, the air controlled side support on the drivers seat doesn't work. I don't think I would use this feature, frankly I don't use any of the other air adjustments but I just want everything to be in perfect working order on my car!

The back light on the climate control unit is easy to check. Get a set of the tools to remove the stereo ( Around $20 at the stealership ). These can also be used to remove the climate control unit. On the bottom, there is a round white plug. Turn this one quarter turn. I recommend using needle nose pliers. Pull it out, and you will see a small light bulb. Replace as necessary, and reverse the process to complete. Be careful you don't pull any of the cable connectors loose while you're doing it.

Does anyone know if you can use this procedure throughout the backlights and where to get ahold of different color replacement bulbs? I would rather have more of a white backlight then the the orange.

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic cover on the switches of the seat on a 1999 C43? I tried to pull it bit it didn't seem that it was coming out so I stoped. Didn't want to force it.

Also I couldn't find the tool to remove the stereo. The dealership didn't have it, thay said that they don't sell tools.
