I've been trying for the ability to get my C43 S/C'd but I can't get a chance to get ahead with repairs keeping me broke. My experience so far:

(replace oil pan ruined from HB)
(repair headlamp wiper motor)
(new brake pads all around)
(flush and fill all fluids including tranny)
(repair one curbed wheel)
:front tie rods are now needed including a new belt tensioner............Fu*kin painfull.

Being 23 years old, working as a personal trainer, and living by myself it's hard to muster up the $$ to do these mods. I'm hoping that by spring I'll be able to get a S/C system. My car has about 45,000ish so the engine is pretty fresh.

If it wasn't for the repairs I probably would have had a system ordered by now........ok, done ranting.

How about just S/C ing the V8. It would be simpler and you'd have a S/C ed V8 instead of a V6. That just seems like a step backward. Not saying that wouldn't be cool and unique......

HPS gen 1 is cheap, I'm pissed because if it wasn't for these past repairs I'd have one by now. I guess I just have to keep racing civics and camaros for now........

I am sure I have seen you then, I think i met you a while back, probably don't remember me. Everything is going to go down by the end of March if everything is available. I am looking at a crashed from behind E55 in an auction, looks good. So let's see who will byte the dust with this one. Chin is a nice guy, so is jeffry, seen jeffries C36??. Now that is one freekin fast C36! Man he really knows his stuff, i give him props for that. He was the one that told me it could be done. We should all get a meet down there. Let me know when you headin over there so i could take a look at your beast. I know my car is going to take some time to be put up, but I am willing to wait. I just want to have somewhat of a sleeper and something different that other C32's, eventhough people see my car and they are surprised when i tell them the HP in it, just with the kompressor sign they already know it packs a punch. lol!

That is what I have in sight. I was hoping for the CL or S55. They are 493 compared to the E55 which is 469. I am just glad to find one. I will keep you posted.

Very cheap, delivered from california shipped to the mechanics door $2900. Need some minor work though, but on the supercharger alone i could get my 2900. I can't loose.

Curious

I am very curious guys. What is the obsession on modifying a perfectly C43, or C36, or C32 to 55 engine? What is the problem here? Speed limit is 70mph in the USA. Cars are already gorgeous!

Can someone tell me? DO NOT get me wrong, I am not criticising...

I know the speed limit is 70, it's all about the power you could have at your fingertips or at your foot, lol! . Why does mercedes create a 65 series when the speed limit is 70? In my opinion I am doing it because of plain old fun. I love to feel the power of my engine and also because it will not cost me an arm and a leg. i found a good deal and i jumped on it. I would also like to do quarter mile time in a rediculous time, let's say...10 secs. We will see after everyhting is done. But like I said it is just for fun.

Talking

I am just thrilled the way this car looks, and lot of rednecks here have no idea what engine it has. This car was in dealer's lot for 45 days! I am glad I know about cars, I had to yank it out of the parking lot ASAP. I did not even give my wife a chance to object. Now she wants to drive it all the time . I don't care to have 700 horsepower or put a F-16 Jet engine in the C43. 302 hp plenty to surprise a lot of people.

You guys go ahead add 55 or 65 engines. Hey! you might even add wings on it too

Nice that you were able to take it off the dealer for the good price. Just keep in mind when you drive your C43 and you sit next to a GTO or any other punk waiting for that green light and you take off the line with him and you show him that you got something under the hood and yet he punches it and sees you walk right by him...that moment right there is what it is all about, forget the 150+ miles an hour it's all about the momentum. That is priceless to me. When my time comes and i stand next to any other big shot who thinks he could outpower me, they will have one hell of a surprise. Hope you get my point.
