If you say so, maybe your prices are higher out there on the left coast. I bought mine with 72k, in good condition, with new brakes and Starmark until jan 07 for $16k

You would be lucky to get over 14k on the east coast.

The color is white the car is in excellent condition, I'm simply looking for something different, KBB valued the car at $17750, so I feel I'm asking a reasonable price. My sig use to have a picture of the car, not really sure why it's not up, it can also be seen on autotrader and I have several pics as well. My guess is KBB and NADA value west coast cars higher due to the lack of harsh winters, i.e. rust.

Can you please tell me what details you plugged into KBB to get the value of your car?

I tried to calculate it on KBB.com and came up w these figures.

Excellent $15,795
Good $14,635
Fair $13,125

hmmm....maybe things are more expensive out here. i didn't find too many under 18 k when I was looking this winter. Of course they all had around 30-40k less miles come to think of it...

I drove at least a half dozen 98 and 99 C43's priced under 18K. I didn't buy any of them. I picked one up for 20 and it was worth every last penny.
There is a huge difference between a car unloaded at an auction and then carted across the country to sit on a lot somewhere and one that the owner took pride in. The KBB value is not the only story when it comes to the value of a vehicle.

Dan ****,

Excellent $15,970 Good $14,800 Fair $13,280

I selected sport package becasue it has the OEM Eibach springs and sway bars but I guess all C43s do so I didn't select it for the above priceing. I did select single compact disc and front side airbags. I will consider offers close to $15,970, as mine is in excellent condition and I have all of the service history.

Now, thats a good deal! I bought mine 17k with 76k miles, with extremely minor problems/or no problems (bad sun visor, center wheel caps paint chipped off). I thought I was lucky... Am I?

Vardar,

I don't think you got a bad deal at all. I hate to say it but most MB owners who sell there cars via private party are retards. They think there car is the best and worth so much more then it really is.

Now i've driven and looked over this car and i can say it is pretty sweet. The only reason the car is priced at 12 instead of 13-14K is because it has been keyed on the driver side. A good semi deep 1 foot scratch that needs to be fixed. I was considering buying it but i'm in the market for a C32 Amg.

Am I the only one who finds it amusing when someone refers to others as retards while using the wrong "there" and "then?"

Just a thought, but a Benz owner who didn't get a key mark fixed, is probably not someone who babied their car (did I use their correctly?) the way one demanding a higher price might have. Granted, it might have happened two days before the auction, but I am just pointing that out.

No, you didn't. You used plural instead of singular. The problem is easily solved either by ceasing expressing yourself in writing, or by retaking elementary school english.
