I tried to calculate it on KBB.com and came up w these figures.
Excellent $15,795
Good $14,635
Fair $13,125
There is a huge difference between a car unloaded at an auction and then carted across the country to sit on a lot somewhere and one that the owner took pride in. The KBB value is not the only story when it comes to the value of a vehicle.
Excellent $15,970 Good $14,800 Fair $13,280
I selected sport package becasue it has the OEM Eibach springs and sway bars but I guess all C43s do so I didn't select it for the above priceing. I did select single compact disc and front side airbags. I will consider offers close to $15,970, as mine is in excellent condition and I have all of the service history.
Friend just picked up a 99 C43 with 85K miles at auction for 9500. It's stickered on his Lot for 12,999
Vardar,
I don't think you got a bad deal at all. I hate to say it but most MB owners who sell there cars via private party are retards. They think there car is the best and worth so much more then it really is.
Now i've driven and looked over this car and i can say it is pretty sweet. The only reason the car is priced at 12 instead of 13-14K is because it has been keyed on the driver side. A good semi deep 1 foot scratch that needs to be fixed. I was considering buying it but i'm in the market for a C32 Amg.

Just a thought, but a Benz owner who didn't get a key mark fixed, is probably not someone who babied their car (did I use their correctly?) the way one demanding a higher price might have. Granted, it might have happened two days before the auction, but I am just pointing that out.
