mike, the car looks clean. if you are in good with a MB service advisor, tech, etc., you might want to see if he/she is willing to run a VMI - Vehicle Master Inquiry on the car. it will give you a bit of backgroud/history for it. you can also have the car go through a PPI at the dealer or through a mobile inspection service like carchex, SGS, etc.
i made an offer that the brother in law couldn't accept without owners approval. after i left i was glad he didn't accept. parked next to my car it looked bad. the color combo just didn't work for me. white over 2tone has eyeball, blk over blk didn't.
it's as simple as that for me. this is a very nice car. just not for me. certainly worth a look for someone who want's a y2k.
the tip-tronic did absolutely nothing for me. i can manually shift my car as fast. just another gimmick to sex up the car.
i'm going to pass even if the owner accepts. someone interested should get a ppi just to make sure. i'm reasonably sure it is as it appears, but you never know. can't be too careful.
I am aware of 2 options packages for 2000.
1- Xenon headlights with washers and rain sensing windshield wiper.
2 - cell phone kit and trunk mounted cd changer.
second option doesnt really mean anything anymore since the phone is analog and useless , cd changer can be added
but the option pack 1 is nice to have.
if it was silver and had option pack 1, i would take it.
