Does anybody use 265/35/18 in the rear
Time to get new tires and was thinking of 265/35/18 on a 9.5' wide Lorinser rim.
Anybody have issues with this tire size on their W202?
Thanks

Yes, I used a 265/35/18 on the rear. They were yokohama AVS sport. I had to do some shaving in the wheel wells. After the modification to the wheel wells, I never had any problems with rubbing.

Hey, don't know about the 265/35/18 combo, but I have 275/35/18 in the rear on my C43 and I have pretty bad rubbing/scraping issues. Bought the car recently with these tires on and eventually going to swap them out. I wouldn't suggest going over 255/35-18 in the rear to be safe.

Only the diameter of the tire should effect the odo and speedo. For the record guys, I've got 255/40/17's in the rear and it F*ck*d up my lower fender lip pretty bad. The lower lip south of the body trim. The upper are rolled from the factory. The car is lowered with H&R's #2pads. The stock size was 245/30/17. Not a huge difference but enough to create a problem.
Thankfully the damage was to the lip only and it happened under heavy suspension loading under acelleration. I ground 75% of the knarled fender lip away till it was straight and had the body shop spray the edge to keep rust at bay. It looks OEM to even a dealer and it now fits the 255's no prob. Check carefully when fitting fattys, girls or tires. End of rant.....

I did not mean the diameter, I meant the wideness? Cause there is more contact to the pavement with more rubber, won't it effect the performence? Eventhough .5, or 1 inch wider tire won't make any difference on 0-60, or top speed (for stock cars)?
