Finally a C43!!
This is my third C-class but first real AMG. I had a '95 C280, '96 c220(my mom's old car) and now this. It's a '99 C43 Black Obsidian/ black leather. It currently has 73k miles. I have always enjoyed this site and I am ready to start posting more often. I spent alot of money trying to make my last two C's look like the C36('95 c280) and C43('96 C220). I am very happy with this car and will have updates on mods. Right now, lowered with h&r springs, stock pads with Bilstein shocks. Some light tint and the usual hood emblem and grill.( I have pics of my last two ones if anyone is interested, I will post them. Thanks.

I had it done for about $65 - I did provide my own transmission fluid. Agreed, change it sooner than later....Synthetic ATF is not cheap, I used Mobil 1 synthetic, it ran me about $7 per quart. Check to see that they have this machine, look at bottom of this LINK - Wynn's TRANSERVE II, Flush and fill machine, it does a one-for-one exchange of your fluids.
They'll need to remove the plastic cover underneath and remove the in/out lines for the trans cooler. I kept an eye on them while they did the job and the fluid looked like crap.

Congrats on the new car. Looks like my twin hehe. Looks pretty good debadged...although I'm keeping my badges on the back...Also suggestion I just swapped my flat hood emblem for the original hood star and it looks so much better in my opinion. Keep us updated on the mods! Oh if you want a quick easy hp gain, green filters made a huge difference when I bought mine...check your filters asap mine were BLACK!

thanks guys. I am going to do the resonator delete this weekend. I test fitted the grill before painting it obsidian black. I'm thinking of putting the badges back on.

nice lookin' car! welcome to the group.
does anyone know the cost range to repair/replace a C43 tranny? i have 69000 miles on mine. i absolutely love the car, and was hoping to keep it for a long time, but ive stared wondering if i should get rid of the car sooner rather than later.

2 into 1 pipes looks like it would be messy to fabricate. I would like to get an idea of how your going to do it, maybe my next mod!!

I'll try to snap some pics of mine. It took my local shop about 30 mins to fabricate the Y pipe and install. Not a big deal at all.

Barely noticable in my opinion. I do like the fact that the 50 pounds of useless metal is now gone, but the sound is barely louder and I doubt there's much performance to be gained. Having said that, I'll take even the smallest bits.
Here's an almost useless pic. Hard to get a good view with 3" of clearance
