Any C43's For Sale?

Here's one in the Boston area
http://www.thegaragecars.com/used-in...a546cc9f3638a8
A black 98 C43 with 67K on it for an asking price of $12K
It's a a used car dealer in Brockton, MA about 35/45 minutes from Boston. I personally have purchased a car there and they were about as fair as you could ask.
As to the actual car itself I don't know how much paperwork the dealer will have for it but I've driven by it when the dealer was closed and it's lovely. I just can't find a good place to store it for the winter or else I'd have it in my driveway right now.

I think my friend is getting a black 99' C43 today actually. He is a wholesaler here in CT. A MB dealer has one that is priced too high and hasn't sold so he said he put in a bid for it. PM me if you haven't found one yet and want more info on this one.

'99 C43
I found mine on Craigslist. It will take some time, but go through ever major city in the US on Craigslist and under "For Sale" type in "C43" or "AMG"--it will take about a half hour, but you can probably find one and the good thing that most are from individual sellers so better chance for records, etc.

There is
a C43 in so cal listed on craigslist, black, mint and i forget the price. If you run mozilla firefox go to crazedlist.org,change the settings as instructed if you cant read the posted listings(easy takes about 10 seconds)you can then search all or just part of every area or state in all of craigslist.Saves tons of entries and it's fun to see all the models, miles, dreamers and deals!

I actually drove him to get it yesterday...a black/black 99' with 88K (not real low miles but...) 1 owner, Starmarked, inside is perfect, outside paint is all original and nice, normal sandblasting/chips on front valence is minor IMO, rims have no rash or scuffs. Tires looked good too. It felt faster than my 500E actually! I believe it is 100% stock.
The car will be up on AutoTrader in the next week or so and I'm am going to polish it this week; quite sure the paint will be great after that. I'm not involved in the sale, my friend just gives me a heads up on neat MB stuff; he'd rather sell to enthusiasts and I like to help my MB bretheren out when I can....much like many of you. I'm told $15 grand-ish if it all checks out good on the lift today. I'm happy to put anyone in touch with the seller btw.
How many were imported? Nice rides... total sleepers.

C43 for sale
I just traded mine in because noone had the nads to step up and buy it. MB of Cincinnati has my old one sitting in the showroom. 2000 C43 w/ sequential shift / 37000 mi. I was 2nd owner and got it from a guy in Naples, Florida. Call Jim Toner @ 513.984.9000. There's not another one like it.

Man, that's a nice 210.
What is the Cincy dealer asking for your old 2000 C43 car? This dealer was asking 19,000$ for the 1999 with 88K in Hartford, CT just last month. Quite steep IMO.
Its a low production niche car...takes time sometimes for the people who want them to find them. Not unlike a 500E, C36 and the like.

About
5grand to steep!lower miles avail for about 5grand less.
that sure is a nice SC ,but he's going to take less as the sc adds very little to resale value, might even detract.....

I paid ~15k for my 98 with 48k miles this summer. That should give you a frame of reference as many dealers price these way too high.

C43 AMG
Mine was just posted up.
I'm asking a little more than the rest, but I'm confident that it's condition merits it. Completely mint.
It's a 1998, but I'm sure you know that the only differences from a 1999 are the CD changer. In 1998, it was the only AMG available. Come '99, they offered the other models.

Same mods on
a 98 s600 grill top shape 1998 $13500.So if yours is more than 17k and you think the condition warrants it,better be thinking again..look above at ECTURBO 1998 15g last summer with 48k miles!you think condition warrants more, his is barely broken in (mint).and please re figure your mpg, when talking C43's to this group everyone knows 30mpg hway ain't happening ,maybe 22 on a good day and 20mpg average.

Guys...thanks for all the leads but I am EXTREMELY particular in what I will buy. Absolutely no '98 cars, must be black/black...no obsidian or two-tone interiors, relatively low miles, service records, slight mods OK. I am in NO rush to buy just any C43, I have several cars and this car will basically be a "garage queen", I am a hardcore C43 fan and want a perfect car.

I completely understand. I looked for about two years before I bought mine. Under 60k was my goal. The owner before me only had it for a year and a half and he bought it with 23k miles in 2005. Now that would have been awesome.

Say what you want. I document all gas input and miles driven in the car.
Commuting from Seattle to Vancouver gets 30mpg minimum. My downtown commute averages at 22.
I know miles are miles and I am open to offers (I understand OP is looking for a '99 though). The car doesn't have to be sold, I am "testing the waters". I bet it runs stronger with 77K than most do with 48K.
Cheers!![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
*For what it's worth, there was a local '99 for sale in my area about 2 years ago. Black/Black. My dad and I checked it, considered buying a second. Not only did it have half the miles, it drove like crap compared to ours.
To anyone looking at buying one, make sure you test drive at least 2 to know the potential difference.
