Talking NooB

Wassup everyone. Just wanted to say hello. I currently own a Supercharged '03 Honda S2000 and Ive been SERIOUSLY contemplating putting it up for sale and get a C43. I kno, kind of a strange change. There's one right up the street from me and they just told me they arent selling it. The worse part about it is that its chillin in their front lawn....IN A FOOT OF GRASS!! Pretty good shape but I moved in this neighborhood in early July of this year and Ive seen it parked there ever since. Horrible. Anyway, they're fairly priced and they keep growing on me. Im an Apprentice Technician at a Mercedes Benz dealership here and I dont even see many at the dealership. Obviously cuz they're rare. Anyway, enough babbling. I was wondering a few things. Maybe you guys can answer for me, thanks in advance.

1)Do all the C43s come with HIDs?
2)What is everyone lowering their Cs with?
3)Whats a website that I can look at to price out parts? Any site to find Brabus stuff for this model?? Their site doesnt really display much for older cars.
4)Superchargers??
5)Anything and everything you wanna tell me.

i'm gonna try to answer all your q's...
1. 98's don't come with hid, it came as an option in 99 (lucky me!)
2.you can use either h&r's, eibach and vogtland. all other stuff are to pricey for just the springs
3.autohausaz.com
4.kleeman, hps
5.if your shopping for one, look for the service history (its a must!). hope this helps!

p.s. its a really fast car!

Thanks guys. I was startin to wonder if this forum was gon be useful. Hmm, I have a feeling my S2000 could take a C43, hahaha. Anyway, yeah, I saw the Kleeman SC, $11,000?!?! Thas as much as the car's worth! Thas nuts. Well, as I mentioned, Im a MB tech so I got some great resources (i.e. the master techs) and yeah, I wouldnt discount taking it to a tranny shop either. Thanks guys.

O! Another question, in some pics, Ive seen what seems to look like Parktronic sensors in the bumpers???

maybe the stock ones but i don't think you can take on some of the others here who have modded engines (nitrogen balance, speedybenz and some others who upgraded with the 5.5 motor.)

I can understand how its annoying....kinda. I BELIEVE its 15 mph and under, it comes on, so the lights on the upper dash come on when you're coming to a light, etc. I dont kno where its displayed on the 202s but alot of em are up there. But when parking, its really convenient. Im in the middle of putting my S2000 for sale as Im typing this. I found a silver C43 about 100 miles from me, in southern WA. 1998 w/ 88k for $10k. Looks real clean. Check it out. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...uperSpotlight=

O, also, I read on here somewhere that another MB model's grill is compatible to the 202. Which one is it? Where do people get the blacked out ones?

You can set up these cars for forced induction for under 5K if you have the resources. Every once and a while a used kleemann will pop up in the classifieds for about this much also. You have good resources working for MB so I should think your ownership should be easier than most.

You can sidestep some of the overpriced stuff if you try. If you find one for 10K thats in shape. 5K in carefully selected mods will have you one hell of a fast and rare car for 15K.

As a refernece my C43 prior to putting the 5.5l engine under the hood would pretty much drive right by S2000's. And at Sears Point and Thunderhill Raceway my stock engine( except for headers and cold air intake) would smoke by S2000 around the track. While I don't have stock brakes anymore, the stock brake on a C43 are really stout and some of the best you will ever use.

Is your S2000 vortech SC'd?

There is one I could call upon if you need video of back to back spankage...

I will admit it hangs close though.....

HID's were an option on 1998's and 1999's. Standard on 2000's if your lucky enough to get one. Other options were rain sensing wipers, headlamp washers, and phone connection.

TOTAL PRODUCTION

1998 579 units

1999 546 units

2000 22 units ?

Total C43s for the US Market = 1147 units

Updated information on model year 2000 production...

It was recently reported that there were actually (25) model year 2000 C43 vehicles imported to the USA

Number of units & colors
(1) Burgundy

(4) Obsidian Black

(6) White
(7) Black
(7) Silver

(1) equipped with blue/black two-tone leather (silver car)

(10) equipped with black leather

(14) equipped with silver/black two-tone leather

Facts on the C43 numbers...I wonder if the one of a kind 2000 Burgundy C43 is still on the roads?
