We may have a bullet proof trans option??

Hey guys, being that trannys(not the scary people) are a common topic in this forum. I was reading the W211E55 forum and VRP tunning sells a reinforced 722.6 tranny for 4K which is great for a beefed up one considering OEM are at least that much and prone to weakness. Its called VRP bullet trans. Not 100% sure about fitment but he claims anyone with a 722.6 trans is good to go. We have 722.6 trans. 1000ft lbs limit 500ft lbs constant I believe he claims

Check out the 211E55 forum guys.

Sure, mine has been solid too. If it isn't broke don't fix it. I've came across a few post here where people have needed replacements and this could be a great upgrade/repair if needed. I just think its cool that we may have a reasonable trans upgrade considering the lack of options with these cars.

The TQ converter mod looks very nice. Will definitely launch the car like a bat outta hell and cut down on the 1/4 mile times. This tranny definietly seems lke a nice upgrade with the quicker shifting ability it has.

Ralston has blown TWO of them up(4 spd) with his turbocharged C36. The 5 speed trannies in general are a stronger tranny and an upgrade for the C36.
This one by VRP even more so!

WHat is it exactly that fails? Is it the gears? I had all of my internals and diff gear on my VW turbo Cyro'd. It made the gears last 2 weeks longer than normal. I was going threw trannys every 3 weeks before cyro'd gears. Just an option and a cheap one at that, $120 for cryo'ing

the tranny on my c43 blew on tuesday. it sucked but i got a good hookup on a mb certified rebuilder and my mechanic is really cool he only charged me 50 bucks an hour for 6 hours to remove/replace the tranny! my total cost out the door was 3200 bucks...

oh the 4th gear clutchpad wore out completely, when the gear finally would hook up the revs would rise without accel and then came the rev limiter...

my mechanic insists on using mb synthetic tranny fluid, i keep telling him that these guys with the 55 motors are using amsoil atf to keep their trannies fresh... is there a reason why you use amsoil?

also i want to know the details about this c55 conversion. i have extra cash and might want to join the club, would somebody mind linking me to a thread or something that details the cost breakdown and what parts are needed?

thanks
