FS: Carbon Fiber Hood

I bought this hood last fall, installed it, and put a good amount of work into it so it fits right. The car has been stored since then so it hasn't really seen any road time. The underside was also raw so I had a textured coating applied to give it a more uniform look when the hood is opened. Hood is in perfect shape with no scratches or cracks anywhere.

I'm removing the hood because I'm having some louvers pressed near the top center sections for cooling and will need to use my OEM metal hood for the work. I will have some pictures posted up later tonight. I just wanted to see what the interest was. I will also have the OEM hood weighed this weekend for those who have been wondering. The CF hoods is around 19lbs.

PM me some offers if interested. Local pickup is probably the way to go. I can travel within reason also.

sounds like airplane
well, sounds like we had the same idea... shoot! lol

let me know how it goes.

I might be interested in your hood too but i'd end up modifying it with 'glass and painting it (and i know it's in great condition) so maybe i'm not the ideal buyer.

I was gonna have most of the hood painted anyways, leaving only a couple sections of CF exposed. If you can do glass work maybe the hood would be cool. I just don't think the CF would hold up too well under the louver press...LOL.

More pics showing the latches and underside, for those who asked. The underside is honestly not as nice as an OEM hood underside(not surprising) but I'm told this is the world of CF products...the top side is perfect.

CF hood

Did you ever sell ?

If its still available, would you be willing to let me pick it up and have you help me install it ?

I'm near the NY/Mass border.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Do you know of any Northeast GTG's for AMG owners ? better yet we should plan one.

Maybe meet at New England Raceway or Lime Rock Park .

Always up for things like that One place to check is AMGpower.com in their northeast section. Usually things are always comming up there.

My favorite GTG is Newport, RI in July. 3 or maybe 4 years in the running. I've been twice. Awesome day, food, area, cars, etc...

Shoot me a PM if you want. I'd like to get a NE dragway meet set up sometime also. Thats in Epping NH...shoot me a PM and we can let this thread die
